sounds like the clutch matey:( speak to smithy, got my stage 2 RPS clutch from him for about £340 delivered i believe. there is some adjustment on the linkage between the pedal & servo, but to be honest, it'll prob only be a short term solution hth

poss a bearing noise from one of the ancillaries/cam belt pulleys, if its the latter its gonna be damn expensive if it fails completly also, cam belts can "sing" if overtensioned

£6.5k jeeeesh!! :eek: Glad I do all my own work!! LOL!! :rolleyes: I think i'd have a hard time convincing myself (let alone my wife) that six and a half grand was money well spent just on an engine!! guess it comes down to how much spare dosh/credit limit you've got & how much you really want it. good luck!:D

just turn it off!!! the comressor pulley only freewheels then, cant see as removing it is gonna really make that much difference

as it says, is there any "standard" for what stage your car is for the mods done, or do you just make it up?? ;)

If the MAF has gone tits up, you wont see anything. but the car will feel dead flat, it sends the wrong amount of air mass to the ecu which then under/over fuels

Or the clutch is simply knackered:( mine went very heavy before it started slipping. my old golf gti went so heavy, it snapped the clutch cable, kinda got used to it so i left it till it eventually broke the pressure disc, put a new one in & it was about 10x lighter!!
