there is no legal comeback on a private sale as far as i know. it is upto to buyer to confirm condition.
  2. fook it - just blank the pipes off!! :D
  3. LOL!! well my tyres lit up in the rollers all the way through the rev range, even with 3 fat knackers sitting in the back. other cars with similar power didnt!
  4. fook :( have you checked the cam timing yet or just the ign timing?
  5. Autodata times both parts of inlet manifold : 8.1hrs cambelt: 4.3hrs (but a some of that ime is gonna be included in the above) steering rack gaiter: 0.6hrs lambda sensor: 0.7hrs (again, gonna be easier with plenum off) there not gonna give a time for the harnesses, but 1hr is gonna be plenty!
  6. i'll check on Autodata times tomorrow, but it does seem a little excessive Gio :(
  7. will check tomorrow bud. (oops also meant the details are at work, not at home!) remind me if iv not replied by the end of the day as im very busy :o
  8. i have supplied a lot of peeps on here with F1's, very good tyre with no complaints! i'll be getting some myself soon (yes, my plastic tyres have finaly worn out :D )

  11. there are companies that will check & flush TC's. iv got the details of one at home if thats any help
  12. Lets face it. its gonna come down to each individual. weve had bouncers down our club that cant fight for toffee :mac1: most seem to rely on their rep as being a bouncer, or the fact that they are a little bigger than most. that doesnt mean im trying to imply that no bouncer can fight. just the same as many boxers are good street fighters. its all down to the individual ;)
  13. my brother in law does the same. pays himself min wage then pays himself tax free dividends has offered to take me on as a director & do the same for me. very temping!!
  14. im sorry, thats just too gay :nono: must be your Right said Vin image Marc
  15. happy purchase-day :D
  16. used to use mainly Mobil Super S which is a 10W40 semi synth. have now switched to Mobil Synt S 5W40 fully synthetic. (mainly cos thats what iv switched to at work! :D) have also used Mobil 1 0W40 without problems. however as i replace my oil every 3-4000 miles its not worth the expense.
  17. it does sound more like a mechanical problem, as jeff suggested poss noisy tappets. consult will tell you if the det sensor is faulty, you can also do a diag test just by bridging 2 pins on the diagnostic socket. HOWEVER a faulty det sensor will not cause det anyway if thats what youy thinking, it will just not detect it & put the car into safety boost permenantly! ;)
  18. do you know Vic Charles?? iv been up to his old club in london many times. he comes down to our club every 6 weeks or so. top bloke & an amazing karateka that i have masses of respect for

mine was doing the same & was the rear hicas link arms. jack the rear up & shake the rear wheels side to side. any play will show up in either the outer bushes in the hub, or in my case in the inner joint of the hicas link arms (inside the small rubber boots). both of these items are replacable. also excessive rear toe will cause this. so get a 4 wheel alignment done after any repair work :)
  20. you could pick up a wheel speed signal from the ABS control unit located behind the o/s/r 1/4 panel
  21. Iv got the mongoose system, which has no centre boxes & its not much louder than stock, just has a nicer tone to it :)
  22. funny, i thought it was duffers brains :D
  23. iv got a pukka scope that runs off our diagnostic laptop. prob a bit too far south for you tho bud
  24. LMAO :D wheres wazza?! :x:
  25. with all the slagging off on here recently, I wonder why anyone actually logs onto this place anymore :( so come on guys, is it really that bad. most of the agro seems to be politically based. but what about what you do get, from this board, members that help out & from mods & comitee members that put a lot of hard graft into this place. you get top rate tech advise (as voted by the members ;)) a place to hang out & generally abuse each other :D cheap deals on parts & goodies from traders meetings arranged all over the country so you can actually take of that keyboard ninja mask & talk to real people & soooooooo much more. personally, the best thing about this place is iv made some very good friends that share my interest in our stunning cars :) just dont loose sight of all the good things that you get from 300zx.co.uk, after all - most of you still log on just about every day! :)
