yes! once you have taken the struts off you need to compress the spring to remove the top mount

had 6 cars on our forecourt broken into & the SatNav systems ripped out. literally ripped out too. have ****ed the dash, cut all wiring, upper control panels, A/C control units etc etc. Recon about £6k+ per car in damage :wack: let us know if anyone comes accross 6 Merc COMAND units LOL :rolleyes: has taken me all fookin day just sorting out what the cars need & ordering parts :rant:

TBH have had a few probs with my powertrix jobbies, may have just been unlucky & believe they had a manufacturing problem which is now corrected. have had them replaced FOC however. i suspect the bearings may not be 100% sealed & letting in water - hope i dont fint this out in another 6-12 months!

what Lymon was suggesting was that if the sump is badly dented it can block the pickup for the oil pump resulting in 0 or low oil pressure

LOL!! you want to lower the suspension & uprate it but dont want to buy new shocks & springs?!?!? thought of an angle grinder on your old springs & some blocks of wood inbetween the shocks & top mounts?? :rofl: seriously, the cheapest way is prob eibach springs & KYB shocks :)

was it noisy when running like it had no oil pressure?? is prob worth testing with a workshop oil pressure gauge

I think you'll find yours (& the USA) is worked out differently to ours though

yup, & doesnt increase power!! thats down to the quality of the fuel, not the RON.

LOL!! I wonder how much is in our heads on these fuels! prob only makes like 0.1% difference!! :D i generally use 99 tesco or Optimax, Tesco is a higher RON but the car seems to feel a little better on Optimax.

an EBC is of course better than jets, just to put some perspective on the subject tho - mines been running 16psi on jets for over 30,000 miles now :)

Hicas arms - you need to lock up the opposite side to the one your removing or it just spins in the rack, count the turns of the end to get it back in approx the same place then get it aligned. rear shocks, as said not too bad with the rear trims out of the way, you can just about get all the lower fixings of the trims then lift them out of the way to get to the top shock mounts. spring compressor is then needed to get the mount off & swapped over to the new shock

tossers. just one thing - would give it a proper clean & polish, coke is nasty stuff really

my control relay in the drivers door used to mess about - took it apart & cleaned the solenoid contacts which sorted it
