  1. old R12 connectors are a threaded outer style fitting. new cars would be R134a with larger speed couplings
  2. R12 connectors are a standard fitting. R134 adapters connect straight on. iv done it on mine. see my write up in the FAQ section for details & supplier. you need to vacuum the system to remove the air to draw the gas in, if you just dump the gas in it will not be as efficient!
  3. they were called rabbit's in the USA
  4. higher RON fuel would have nothing to do with your turbo siezing! use high RON fuel!! ;)
  5. ill be there :)
  6. LOL! because they are mercedes & relied on their name!! to be fair (!), they ploughed loads of money in goodwill into getting cars repaired
  7. should be able to make this :)
  8. you *could* (if you was the sort of person who done illegal activities! ;) ) press one of the service valves in to see if any gas comes out, sometimes when empty there can be a bit of air pressure in there but no gas. really it needs to be connected to an A/C regas machine
  9. yup, when the aircon is on the clutch engages on the compressor. if your car is out of gas the car will prevent this from happening - most likely you just need a regas
  10. there is a risk that the threads will strip in the inserts if there really tight. might be worth getting these 1st as they are only cheap to prevent it being off the road if they do strip
  11. yup - off to the beach after work (only 1/2 day today - yay!!)

LOL!! lots of people have my avatar now!! its mine i tell you, all mine!!
  13. stock tubs are only efficient upto 1 bar or so anyway. would make it safer as there would be less chance of it running lean at higher boost. stock injectors & tubs do run out of puff at about the same time however
  14. you will need a remap for 555's, plenty of off the shelf chips available from guys on here. it will only add power when youve got more airflow than the stock injectors can supply fuel for ie bigger tubs!
  15. nah, thats just the economy drive they had a few years back! they have learnt their lesson over that one!!
  16. not seen it, but is it just a pressurised canister?? if the system is just low on gas this wont be as much of a problem, if it is out of gas then the system needs to be vacuumed down first (no, you cant use your mums hoover :D ).
  17. most cars drift slightly to the left due to road camber, cars with wider wheels more so. wouldnt worry about it. you can help combat it by setting up the car with more neg camber on the n/s/f & less on the o/s/f, but not so ideal for handleing.
