    Welcome! :)
  2. Thanks mate, I will be making a thread soon. Just as soon as we have some half decent weather for me to take some pics :). LOTS to do to her yet, but I'm very happy with the car :)
  3. Hello mate, bit random, but how long have you suffered with these? I've been suffering with cluster headaches since I was 16 (now 30) so have lots of tips in pain killing (ones that work for me anyway). Episodic or chronic sufferer? and are you taking any preventative medication? Feel free to send me an email brettgambell@gmail.com, as I'm not a member so can't PM. I might be able to lend some tips, or vice versa. Cheers Brett
  4. Yeahhhhh!!!! Awesome plan mate. As I said in the other thread, I'm up for it. The missus can come with us and enjoy, or stay at home and whinge, either way I'm going. (Don't tell her I said that...) So for me it's a yes, I can book a week off whenever so any dates in those 2 months are good for me :)
  5. Yeah I was thinking somewhere along those lines with regards to date. Definitely, maybe create a new thread? "Rally Zed thread!" lol. (or any number of cooler titles you can think of!)
  6. U Well up for that! Maybe test the waters with other members, see if there's an interest?
  7. Haha, 2 invaluable lessons there! I agree, it would certainly be something I'd be up for. Never done anything like it but would love to. Wouldn't need to stay in 4* hotels either, that would help keep costs down. Just take a tent ;)
  8. Oh well done mate! Great cause. Did you enjoy it? Looks lovely.
  9. Anyone heard of this? 3000 mile road trip across Europe, 8 nights in 8 cities (all 4* hotels) , 8 parties and a track day in Barcelona. Sounds awesome to me! Came across it on Facebook, link here:https://facebook.com/eightballrally
  10. Can't believe how long ago this was. I was only 16, I'm 30 now! Time flies. RIP.
  11. Cheers Gaz, will start a thread of my own soon then. Share some pics and updates as I go :)
  12. Thanks :D still want the tweed retrimmed in alcantara and chrome door handles. Those are the next 2 interior jobs. But will need to wait a while. Next job is to cut the rust out and get my new arch and sills welded in :cool3:
  13. Thank you :) They've certainly grown on me. Was unsure at first but now really like them myself.
  14. Fitted my new shags and gave her a wash :D
  15. Holy hell that engine bay is tidy. How do you people do this stuff???!! lol. I can only dream of an engine bay like that. Really need to find me a mechanically minded friend!!! Absolutely beautiful car mate, well done!
  16. Perfect! If you can, I'm in! :)
  17. Sexy! Want one of these myself. Just had a look on Z1 and the keys are 39 USD, which is perfectly fine, them 45 USD shipping... :(
  18. Good luck mate! Feel you need it after reading up on your recent car problems! Fingers crossed all goes to plan this time.
  19. Oh yeah, and my shag pile jdm mats arrived, too, that I found in a breaker online. :D in the washing machine as I type.
  20. Bought a replacement rear arch and sill today (both drivers side). Got them from Steve, eBay seller I've seen recommended a few times on here, really nice bloke. Expecting them to arrive next week. :)
  21. Think I'd struggle giving them away!
  22. I think that's what I'm going to do. Another couple packs, 1 pack per mat... I'll upload the result in a few days time. Can't be much worse than what I've already done to the poor things.
  23. Today, I thought I'd have a go at dying my shagpile mats black. After a couple months of unsuccessfully searching for some good condition shags in dark grey, I decided to dye the ones I have in an attempt to improve the look of the interior. Here's the before (taken right after a good wash) : http://rs107.pbsrc.com/albums/m315/brettgee/Mobile%20Uploads/tmp_16253-DSC_0109102575772.jpg~320x480 As you can see they are the lighter grey kind and to me too light for my liking. I read somewhere that someone had successfully dyed their car mats using Dylon fabric dye that you add to your washing machine.... Well as my mats were already grey, adding a black dye can do one of only 2 things... 1. Turn them black, or 2. Turn them a darker shade of grey. Either way I think I'd be happier with them. So I buy the dye, read the packet, then learn that a whole pack of Dylon black dye will successfully transform 1kg of fabric from white, to black. Now as I already stated, a darker shade of grey and I'd be happy so decided to whack both mats in at once even though it weighs considerably more than 1kg. So, 2 hours in the machine on a 40 degree cycle, then a 45 minute rinse to clear excess dye from the mats, and here's the result!: http://rs107.pbsrc.com/albums/m315/brettgee/Mobile%20Uploads/tmp_16253-DSC_0110986419764.jpg~320x480 They're bloody red!!
