  1. Where was this one hiding? :(
  2. The switchback bit is fine, it looks great but I'd be happy with just the top row as stop/tail and the lower row as indicators only as normal, but would want it all led if possible. Like I say I was going to attempt it myself but you've already nailed it. :) But I reckon the zed rear indicators would look great sweeping like this:
  3. How much would you charge for rear clusters like this but without the pinstripes, all other indicators to match, and a rear panel? This kind of thing was what I had planned for mine when I eventually find a zed worth buying, but it'd save me a lot of messing about. Another thought, how hard would it be to make the indicators sweep like they do on modern Audi's?
  4. It apparently happened a few days ago but was only reported yesterday? Sounds like someone's got it in for him and telling tales instead of him actually hitting someone. None of us know for certain what happened, or if he actually did hit anyone. Besides, I remember when John Prescott punched a disgruntled British citizen after only being egged. He didn't lose his job and was subsequently knighted...
  5. They're both black cars mate, I'd guess he's talking about the first one. :)
  6. I'd guess it's a 180kmh speedo with an mph face fitted instead. Means it's not been converted, so the mileage will likely still be in km.
  7. Looks tidy but it's, but it's in Belfast. :( I might end up having to get an NA and drop the TT lump in at this rate though. Every TT I've seen under 4k so far has been fit only for breaking.
  8. Plenty of other issues too, and that was up at 3.5k.
  9. With new sills just last year:
  10. One lovingly restored rust free car:
  11. I've been looking at standard ones in the 3-4k ballpark too. Every single one has been an absolute nail.
  12. Seems to be the norm unfortunately, I've seen a few now and every single one is nowhere near as described. I've not seen that one personally though.
  13. That looks awful to me. :(
  14. I'm after the feeling of acceleration more than anything, so his replies were good enough for me. :)
  15. How much of an improvement is it?
  16. If it can be put together, I can take it apart again. It's only screws, clips and wiring plugs at the end of the day. Might take time, but it's doable. :)
  17. If I manage to get a late zed with manual controls, I'd swap with you. I'd do all the swapping myself too. :)
  18. I'd be surprised if it wasn't somewhere close mate, unless it pulls like hell once rolling. If I could crack into the 12's I'd be delighted, my best so far is 13.2 in my old mr2 turbo, which did 4.7 to 60. My skyline did 13.5, about 5.2 to 60 IIRC.
  19. The offer's there if you fancy a trip to Harrogate sometime. :)
  20. I would, it's easy enough swapping parts over, just time consuming. :)
  21. It might be because I asked about it when I went in his two zeds, and saw the later ones didn't have climate control. Seed planted. :)
  22. That's something else I'd consider, yeah. That's why I was so gutted to lose out on that other one on the weekend, as if I found that engine was stuffed I could have simply dropped a replacement engine in, and salvaged/sold whatever bits were worth keeping from the old one. Oh well.
  23. Cool, keep me posted. You're keeping that swb I found you for yourself then?
  24. Could take months for me to get everything shifted though, so like I say if I can get a decent base car now, as I sell more stuff I can put the money in the pot for the conversion. That way, I can still drive something half decent while I wait.
