  1. Dropped it off with the body shop! Hope the next month goes quickly!
  2. Uhh, I mean I'm getting a really crisp white.. Not P******-ish white. Better? :)
  3. Yeah I'm going for a full respray, a colour change just adds more to labour costs
  4. Due to the cost of a colour change being higher, it's going to a Porsche-type white with black details!
  5. Car is going into the body shop tomorrow! Full respray with some widening of the rear arches!
  6. Does look awesome! Are you able to clean a bit of the dip around "Nissan" to make it a bit more prominent or was that the style you were going for?
  7. To use a S2 injector on a S1 rail I believe an adapter is needed. https://www.z1motorsports.com/fuel-system/z1-motorsports/injector-adapter-kit-new-style-injectors-early-fuel-rails-p-3348.html
  8. The first one seemed to be fresh in. So a hammer on the HICAS arm (was getting rid of it anyway) took it out within 5 hits. The second had no chance. I had to use a drill to make a section to get a blade through and hack it up to break the seal and then heat and hit. Complete nightmare took best part of 7 hours..
  9. Hey don't take my glory away from me! lol
  10. It is pretty crazy. But the more crumpled the car the more energy absorbed.. I guess they're doing something right!
  11. I'm going on a limb and saying fiesta?
  12. I couldn't really see the age of the engine being too much of a difference. I understand what you mean, but the water is only really to rinse off loose dirt, and then the "now loose" dirt after degreasing. I wouldn't use a power washer
  13. engines aren't as sensitive as they're made out to be. As long as you don't force water into the wrong places, keep the water moving to not drown anything, (cover some electrical components in plastic bags if you wanted) use a good degreaser and some elbow grease you should be fine
  14. If I were to do it again I would most definitely do that
  15. Hopefully you're HICAS ball joints come out easily! They were a b**** for me!
  16. Good info, thanks very much!
  17. Wired up my third brake light to also act as a fog for MOTs in preparation for the clear tail lights to replace the 3 pot lights currently on her
  18. Oh and had a new Third brake light and all engine scuttles delivered this morning!
  19. That's the one! I've been advised to go for new as you can't guarantee a second hand one (and they're on sale with Z1!) so will make a little basket with the other things I've been advised for and get the placed!
  20. Well.. Turbos puffing a bit, although I knew that because the blue smoke is a giveaway. Need a new MAF, tensions rod bushing, O2 Sensors, Input shaft bearing - none of which will blow up tomorrow but hoping to have everything done and a restoration respray done for simply Japanese
  21. Went to see Jimmer this morning for a once over. Great to finally meet him and now Ive got some things to sort out!
  22. I feel like this engine bay is going to be very "haunting"!
  23. They are becoming a sought after classic, wouldn't say they're there yet. Personally don't think the price is wrong. But people's budgets tend to be lower as from what I can tell people want to buy from 3-4K so will probably take longer to get a buyer.. My thoughts, could be wrong.
