  1. I'm fortunate my father is halfs with me on the car so there's a bit of play. (He wanted nothing to do with it until I brought it home and he drove it, then he wants in!)
  2. That is true! I may look into replacing Wack trims and anything that is a bit tarnished while its stripped..
  3. Just sent Allan a message! I may look into shifting work between people but think it'd be better to as few as possible so it all stays in sync. Really need people who are familiar with the Z so will try to find them
  4. Yeah I'll have to put in some looking. Has to be a top job! Checking if anyone can recommend someone Z special
  5. I don't know how much I'd feel comfortable stripping myself. I'd be okay with trims, bumper and panels, door cards, basic stuff but when it comes to mechanicals I'm not sure how Much I trust myself with. I can do SMIC and rad only because I've replaced them other than that..
  6. Looking for a colour change in the near future as mine is a mis-matched white currently so looking to go to a deep space grey. I'm looking to get a proper job done, drop the engine, trims, the lot so she looks mint. Anyone got any suggested places? Anyone who has done something similar got any ballpark figures?
  7. I'm only 19 and think it's one of the prettiest cars on the road!
  8. Looking for the door finisher cap and a nice condition gear stick Gator as mine is worn
  9. Didn't really do a test drive yesterday but feels like my turbo lag may have increased a bit. Need another test to confirm. My goal is only 400-450 bhp at the moment
  10. A couple pops and twangs out the exhaust, which gave me a warm tingle inside. I think I'm in need of a tune soon. Have put in larger SMiCs a couple weeks back and now the filter too. Going to give a service and then it'll be next on my list I think.
  11. Not today, but yesterday put in a cone air filter from Z Centre :) Took for a drive. Can hear the air flow into the turbos more (I think, maybe my turbos are f*****..) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Scuttle looks great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I also finish university on the 31st May, could be too late, but I'll be driving from Leicester home to Cardiff and can happily detour my route if need be. Whatever works but I assume Dougal is the better option :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Ok so I couldn't wait till the morning to finish up. Here is the end product After Rubbig back with wet n dry and then clear coating. It was from this Personally think the final product doesn't look as 'fake plastic' so I'm happy. What's your opinions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Your ID plate looks ace! And not at all, be patient, then I used a super thing blade and took the top layer off the letters and used cotton bud and some white spirit and lightly brushed it off and it came up brilliantly!
  16. Managed to get the Nissan to come out pretty well Still awaiting a wet n dry rub back for some laquer, but will leave this coat dry overnight :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Can you guys guess what's in progress today? :p Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. My seat belts were retracting very slowly and it was beginning to annoy me.. So took out some furniture polished and lathers the whole belt (mainly the back side of it) in Polish and wiped that through.. Now working better! Not perfect but I don't need to aid them up anymore Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I think that height is perfect. Can still get over bumps and the arches look full
  20. After seeing coopd do this a few days ago, I decided to copy and paste it to mine like I said I would! Granted mine weren't terrible to begin with (there is chrome coming through on certain bits, but not a terrible amount), but they certainly didn't add anything to the car! Fairly happy with how it turned out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Did you do anything to the silver spots before wrapping? Did the wrap like dent into the hole?
  22. What size wrap sheets did you buy? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Love that wrap idea. May have to do a copy and paste to mine!
