Ive also fitted a new afm and i have a ecu which i am going to socket and chip before fitting in a few weeks. but i realised last night that ive got my mot coming up in around 10 days so need to prepare for that....

Thanks Kev, thats a massive help, ive worked out what pinouts i need now. My fueling is more or less still the same but it is deffo my efi harness, so i have done a temorary fix until i can get hold of new connectors and splice them in. At the moment im getting 30 miles to £10.

My Z has been missing on boost for ages now and after trying everything i spent a good couple of hours cleaning/adjusting the injector connectors, i used some battery terminal spray, which works a treat id recommend it, but after a week or so the missfiring started again, so i have found that i have to redo the injector connectors almost every weekend, if i do she runs like a dream, if i dont she runs like a dog, so i ahve finally come to the conclusion that i need a new EFI harness or i need to replace the connectors and splice them into my harness.

Dunlop sp9000 all day long m8 they are brilliant....

Hi I have just got hold of a second hand ecu for my car it is from a tt auto, whereas mine is a manual. I have checked the Codes/number on th stickers on the ecu chips....the nuber on the auto chip is (8AB9122A) and the number on my manual ecu chip is (8AB9121J) can anyone spread any light on why the chip would be different maybe, Id like to find out before i plug it in as i dont want to do any damage. thanks Jay

I have sourced all cam belt parts from Quinton Hazell and at a very fair price too........ :D I know they are not nissan parts but the are OEM spec, and quinton hazell supply to manufactures for new vehicles so they must be good...Anyway this is what i will be fitting to my car soon.

I find brasso does a fantastic job and cheap too.....

Mine went on the dyno more for diagnostics today, Here are my results they are about what i was expecting with the fuelling issues at the moment.... 298.3 hp at engine 343 lbs/ft torque Remarks: 10AFR all the time, 105% injector duty cycle. I do have a fuelling problem which i have now been able to narrow down to a couple of things thanks to todays mini meet n dyno, so more investigating to do yet to finnnaly solve the issue :rant: but once done should be back to normal :D can,t wait.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I have gone and bought some thick gasket paper to make some as nissan wanted £5 for each gasket.....which i think is a little over the top. so happy days hopefull no more bangs n squeaks once all suspension is swopped over.... :hyper: :hyper:

Hi there I am going to be changing my suspension this weekend, and i was just looking in the manual at the front suspension and there is a gasket that goes between the top mount and the suspension turret, see pic below i have put a arrow to it. Question is what do they do, are they important and what are they made out of? any info would be great Cheers Jay :duffer:

I have a missfiring problem under heavy accelleration, :confused: and my fuel consumtion is 10mpg, :rant: I have done numeros maitainance jobs recently list below. went through all electrical connectors cleaned them repaired as neccessary, checked all hoses pipes for tighness leakes and replaced as neccessary, fitted new spark plugs ngk pfr6b-11b, replaced balance bar o rings, new fuel filter, new oil and filter fitted Blitz sus cone filter, all exhaust gaskets replaced (exhaust straight through sigle exit, cats gutted) fitted jwt chip running .95 bar boost using 1.0mm boost jets The car is boosing fine always 0.95 bar. I have reset the ecu too, I have been checking regular for fault codes but none show, until yesterday code 13 engine temp sensor on cold start car strted 30 times with this fault, i done a couple of datalogs if anyone could be so kind as to look for me as i dont really understand it . in the cold start datalog the duty cycle hits 105.66 on heavy accelleration when the missfire starts at around 3500 rpm. thanks James
