Cool, i hope so, its an eye level brake light that ive used as a fog but the bracket ive put it means i can fold it up under the bumper when im not using it (can also make a wird red glow on the floor with it for when i feel like racing novas round the town!!!).

I got mine for £25, not off the net though, from a local car spares place (i get a good discount where I work).

Ive even put an light inside to come on when its on, so thats covered, just dont know if its too close to the ground?

The revs will rise a little when you put it into o/drive if you are still hard on the accelerator, I would advise easing off for a split second when putting the o/drive on (bit like a manual change) as i think it tends to do this as you are putting too much stress on the box. You will notice that if you select o/drive when not on the accelerator the change will be much smoother, and your zed will thank you for it. Ive only recently learnt that there are ways to be kind to your autobox (such as easing off the throttle during changes, and apparently 2nd to 3rd clutch is very weak). About first, at not over 24mph, cant say as i blame it, the zed should have plenty of power in second at that speed.

Pete, if you want to bring it up to mine over the weekend, ive got a multimeter and a zed to compare against, (nissan plugs to iso conector, to sony radio) Ive also got a spare nissan to iso connnecter if you should need one.

They did, 2 litre turbo i think (nissan's mg motenogo equivilant!)

In my 2 zeds, in 12 months i have always had a mis spaced reg plate on the front, i have had a £30 fine for non standard reg plate once. I thought id attract more attention from the police in my zed (especially locally, as alot of the coppers know me from my boy racing days) but i hardly ever get pulled. If you start arguements with them, it obvious that theyre gonna give you grief back and like as not a fine for something unimportant. There are alot of "nice" coppers about, but as in any line of work there is always the odd "nasty" one, trouble is spotting which ones they are, then either putting your foot down or kissing ass!!! If youd of said his impretza was nice etc, bet it much quicker than my old datsun etc etc, you probably wouldnt have got the producer, and if youd have said that his impretza wasnt his car and you bet he drives a fiesta then youd probably have got a fine and a vdrs etc. With it being an Impretza, this means probably traffic cop and these (and specials) tend to be abit more eager to pull out their little black book, so i'd count my blessings if i were you that it wasnt a fine.

You can get radio 2 on the standard jap radio, after suffering it for about two months when the stock cd player died i had to get round to fitting my sony in it that had been sitting in my bedroom for months!

Does RTFM mean Refer to the f***ing manual by any chance?;) I've only recently got a copy of it and i managed to find lots on the alternator but not alot on the belts. Many thanks andy, i'll work it out soon then not trouble eveyone with such trivial matters!;)

I just leave it in D all the time (O?Drive on uless i want to clog it then i turn O/Drive off) only ever put it in 2 by accident, one time i crapped myself as i noticed it wasnt changing like it normally does, till i looked down at the stick!!! I may have used 1 on occasions for the odd quick turnaround!!

Maybee ive done too much cleaning and not enough fixing!! I get an occasional sweak from what i think is the alternator belt (only does ot when loading the electrics). Can it be adjusted or is it a replace job? And how easy is it to do? And also, the silly question, which one is it? I can see lots of belts in there.
