I believe that system was only available on very late cars, and functioned when the control switch was left n the up position.

Not aware of any interim changes either. The box is a FS5R30A which was also used for R32/R33 Skylines with RB25/RB26 engines - if you're looking for second hand parts, they're a lot more common here.
