radio iso
If you have the aerial plug that has 2 pins on it you ae better getting the right plug as the Z has 2 aerials for different frequencies so better off with the right part. Bob

Clifford alarm
sounds about right for Gap, £1,100.00 !!! people really need to shop round and do some homework. Must drink Horlix through a drip to sleep after fitting that! Bob

Clifford alarm
Exactly, big companys, big overheads with one thing in mind, money! Speak to people who have had systems fitted by Gap who have had a fault and tried to get them out to sort it, not interested, they`ve had your money and don`t give a toss. Bob

Clifford Alarm Again...
Clifford alarms do not protect your car any better than any other alarm on the market. I can make a Moss alarm just as hard to by pass as a Clifford! What i mean by that is it`s all down to the fitter. Cat1 alarms must all meet basic requirements set out by Thatcham, they all have 2 circuit immobilisers(some have 3)must protect your doors, boot and bonnet and have internal sensors, be encased in a steel bot secured in the cabin area of the car and have a battery back up siren. There are probably a few more but they are the basics. Because of the way Clifford alarms are wired i don`t like them because in my eyes they are easier to bypass(not going into detail on a public forum!) Thats why i fit Toad as much as i can. Do there job and never fail !! Bob (i have fitted over 100 alarms to members of this forum over the last 6 yrs and am not aware of 1 problem with a Toad)

Clifford Alarm Again...
Probably, Turbo Timers are illegal as leaving a car running while you pop off is classed as abandonment and as such if your car was stolen you would not be insured!

Clifford Alarm Again...
Remote start does not invalidate Cat1 status. I have had a couple of meetings over the past couple of weeks regarding this and as Thatcham have never tested a Remote Start System they can`t invalidate a Cat1 with one fitted. Bob

Ebay is a nice profit maker for some....
Trouble is people just look at Ebay as being full of bargains. I`ve seen loads of stuff getting sold for more than you can go into any hi st store and buy off the shelf.

Check the bonnet switch for the alarm, if it`s been joined in with the door circuit it will turn the light on.
