  1. well, think so, but was on a wet day so mostly off boost and on a longish run.... seemed to be going ok.. managed 200miles from full to half...
  2. thats in lincolnshire though so speed cameras every 50 yards...
  3. Just wondering how many miles people get out of a zed with sensible "normal" type driving... finding i only get about 400 miles give or take really... not worried but would be nice to get a few more...
  4. yes, they bleed you of all your money and anything else they can take so really lightens the zed up... otherwise we might dare drive with some spare change in our pockets...

along the lines of "if your not cheating your not trying!" phrase that comes up at work in certain areas! (sorry dont no any cheats though ..lol)
  6. thought about the laptop thing before as it gives the chance to take it out when you leave the car.... although i have to admit i do really like the din sized pc / din screen solution.... but too far down my list of priorities to happen this year!
  7. hope it gets sorted bud... welcome.... lots of great advice here from people... and great car... you wont be disapointed!!
  8. john you got pm..
  9. same with the pcs to be honest... might be worth looking here as the din size pc plus few others look the same but great deal cheaper... http://www.cartft.com/catalog/il/511 prices in euros and ££
  10. right sounds like its working fine, thanks guys... relief!!
  11. surly you must be able to get a slightly more aggressive chip than a jwt and run 13/14 psi pretty safly though? or is it a case that not many people make the chips for zeds...
  12. pretty sure its not det, the clicking starts from about 7psi upwards and the car has a jwt chip.... no power loss and boosts up to near 13psi in hi mode... its very rapid clicking and isnt there at similar psi with the profec off... det should have power loss as well shouldnt it, and not happen at 12 psi witha jwt chip either?
  13. SO after (finally :headvswal ) getting my profec B to work went for a power run or 2 this weekend,. Turbos hit harder and faster and its all great, however when the car is under boost i can here a constant tick/clicking like a relay coming from under the bonnet near the greddy solenoid.. The solenoid is mounted on the drivers side of the bonnet and im sure it is this area the noise is from. Wasnt there before and stops if the profec is turned on... thing is , is this normal? the car is boosting right but does it show a faulty solenoid? or one that maybe is on its last legs even though its a new profec? If its normal i can live with it, but if not need to get chris to sort a replacement for me... cheers guys
  14. pete what sort of price to zed calipers go for with the sx boys? They after discs as well?
  15. sub 5 sec is very reasonable...
  16. jay what are you using in the shortie to raise the boost? It might be the rate of on-set of boost thats giving the difference.. (if you have an electronic controller like a profec...) Most electronic controllers have settings for how quickly the boost builds (to try and avoid spikes..) so might be something to do with that.... clearly not an issue with boost jets..
  17. lol thankfully only 6ft1 so copeing nicely without them...
  18. finally sorted the damn thing and it works!! :nana2: :nana2: think it was a combination of things.. tightened up a few of the T pieces... shortened some of the excess hose that was round on the joints... couple of kinks taken out and swapped the filter round (although not massively sure which way it shoudl go round... so input there welcome...) power run coming up tomorrow !! :nana2: :nana2: :nana2: :nana2: :nana2:
  19. ive given in to beer, but thankfully where i work the bar only charge me once a month and by direct debit so ive never had the money in the first place lol
  20. what sort of price was your kit all in? self fit or get a garage to do it for you?
  21. right, (we talking at the fly or rwhp here.. guessing fly..)
  22. apexi fitted on my zed and 200 before that, great filter nice induction note and maintainance free... wouldnt change it for any other filter!
  23. makes bit more sence.. so to run 300bhp in the uk how mcuh in the way of mods are we talking..? induction, exhaust 13psi? 14psi? chip (obviously for fueling the extra boost) or more than that..?
