  1. nice link rich, to be honest i find a good going over with autoglym paint renovator and then the autoglym polish does the trick... really depends how oxidised the red is, if it just looks lack luster then give it a try, if its more pink than red, it maybe too far gone. Best of luck...
  2. cod2 + 360 + LCD tv is best gameing ive had for a while.... bring on halo3!
  3. anyone fancy this weekend then guys? got time on my hands but no real plan on what to do...
  4. anyone fancy bit of a meet this weekend... near or on anglesey... no idea what to suggest but ive got spare weekend so happy 4 suggestions
  5. anyone be able to make me a new dial for a crappy faced Tim water temp gauge? just asking as it would be nice to replace the crappy front on it.. cheers guys
  6. i used mytires.co.uk and they gave a good service. Went for falken 451 on the front and they are great!!! grip well in the dry, great in the wet and road noise is fine as well. best bit was the price!!! they were about 30£ a corner cheaper than toyos if i remember rightly
  7. think there is a market for these decats with some back pressure to be honest... certainly enough guys thinking of decats so they would sell... also guessing they would help keep some of the noise of decatting down a bit... think you could get a few more like those on the beast made up?
  8. ive fitted it now, got a few long drives coming up so i will be glad of the cruise.
  9. on closer inspection.... at the bottom of steering assembley i have noticed some soldered connectors that have the same coloured wires as the cruise buttons and these look like they go into the copper ring things that are used to pass power to the wheel... think im going to bite the bullett and solder onto these... unless anyone can reply in sort of 20mins and save me fooking it up...
  10. so ive come to the point to connect up the cruise buttons but no idea where they go... ive taken my after market wheel off and exposed the entire hub but cannot see any attachment point... the only thing i can see is a black box at the bottom of the steering assembly. It looks like something should plug into the front of this, but the buttons i have have a brown and white connector that wont fit in there.. Is it a case that I have only got the section out of the stock wheel and that the stock wheel then has something that plugs in in this black box? If so can i just hard wire these buttons to the same coloured wires out of the mystery black box.. quick reply welcome as my car is in bits! edit: ive searched but not really found an answer to if i can just match up the colour wires in the black box thing and join them to the buttons...
  11. right, how do the straps attach to the attachment points or is it obvious?
  12. max, sorry im having a thick day, but which window? my reception is crap but its worth getting rid of the aerial looks so much better
  13. yes, but where / how do they attach underthe carpet?
  14. interesting idea, never heard of it before so no idea where you would start
  15. did my wipers a few weekends ago and such a huge differance to the look of the car... only problem is now the scuttle panel looks shabby... but when the ££ allows il swap that out... only tip really is just watch the spanner when you tighten the wipers back up as it is really easy to catch a tiny bit of the wiper and scratch them...
  16. Ive finally got round to sorting out my boot space and found the targa tie down straps loose round the spare wheel. Where and how do I attach these under the carpet to secure the targas when they are in the boot? Im sure this should be simple but its defeating me....
  17. sorry maybe lack of understanding on my part... how could i keep the profec and flush fit the cruise buttons in a clock gap?
  18. nice, wouldnt work for me as my profec b is in the space where the clock was..
  19. Basically Ive got an aftermarket wheel, and am looking for somewhere to put the cruise buttons. Have thought about placing them on the back of the wheel maybe, or possible by the electric window buttons... Just after ideas really...(which i clearly intend to steel lol)
  20. such a nice bit of software... need to get it when ive got some spare ££
  21. i did get 200 miles out of the first half of the tank on a good run motorways this weekend, however the last half of the tank has gone in 120miles... still happy with 320 miles out of the tank.. although the wet weather over the weekend helped as i was lucky to get much over 70!
  22. detting sounds horrible, and occurs as you hit a certain level of boost.. varies car to car but zed should be ok up to about 14 psi (ready to stand corrected) Are you sure there are no kinks or blocks in any of the lines feeding the boost gauge (or its sender if its electronic..) as these would give a duff reading. Think might be worth doing an ecu reset (battery off for a while) to see if its stuck in safety boost.. sure someone else will have more idea than me though mate.. EDIT also just noticed the scale on the gauge it reading in bar? 1 bar is something like 14psi so unless you have rasied the boost the reading doesnt look too far off stock 9psi to me anyways..
  23. maybe i wont get 200 out of the last half of the tank then....
