  1. Sounds good, think its just this dip dim circuit i need to look at. Fraiser did you feel the relay harness was really needed? The standard zed circuit looks like it should be able to handle a 35w bulb (especially as im using 100w's at the moment)
  2. Nice work mate, a hate it when jobs like that seem to go really bad!
  3. Sorry to ask a question thats been asked lots before, but ive searched and id just like to clear a few things up; Easy to fit? Ive read and understand that the hid bulbs go in the normal place and you connect the exisiting wiring to a balast? What temperature will give the best light for night visibility? 4300k or 6000k? Some kits mention relay harness with fuses? What are these for? Uk zeds have something called dip dim? NO idea about this or what it means for me fitting HIDs? Finally, what do people think of these ive found on ebay? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XENON-HID-CONVERSION-KIT-H1-H3-H4-H7-H8-H11-9006-9007_W0QQitemZ320002738543QQihZ011QQcategoryZ72235QQcmdZViewItem Thanks all, i need to get my lights sorted as they are really bad (anyone got a guide on how to stirp and clean the zed headlights?)
  4. Im in the same boat at the moment, check out this thread; http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=75921 Think im going to end up with the stillen kit as the whiteline roll bars take about 2 months to arrive in the uk!
  5. IMHO zeds are not worth selling now, the cars just dont command a decent amount of cash. Im intending to keep the zed and just keep it as a second car. What ever you do im sure you wont be disapointed the 350z looks an awesome car!
  6. Checked the gb, but its closed now. Also i couldnt wait that long as i need to get this done as an mot fix. Think il end up with the stillen kit and then ive got the bonus of front and rear adjustment. Unless anyone has some of the whiteline ones lying round they want to sell me?
  7. Sounds good, what sort of price did you pay for the set if you dont me asking? Im also not sure if i want the adjustable front bars or happy with the fixed one?
  8. cool, where did you get the whiteline roll bars from? Ive had a look around tinternet and found them at around £83 for the rears (id do the front at a later stage if i go that way). What made you pick the whiteline ones and not the stillen kit?
  9. Could you not adjust the pedal arm a bit to make the brake slightly closer to the clutch?
  10. Looks interesting, easy job to fit? The installation instructions talk about removing the exhaust? That really necessary? Also, when it talks about aligning the kit, guess it doesnt mean have the wheels tracked, more just getting at checking everything is in the right place before tightening up? How soft/hard is the ride in the adjusted positions, and likewise for the under/over steer? Looks simple enough to adjust once its on the car?
  11. Candys nice, or go for a subtle red candy on a gold undercoat, theres an evo with that on ther f&F extra features(dvd) and it looks a really nice paint job
  12. Had a look at smithys place, and powerflex but didnt find anything for a zed. Ideas guys?
  13. My car went in for a mot on friday, no huge snags but got a few things to work on; main one being one of the rear antiroll bars is worn (the rubber has perissed completly). Just wondering if anyone knows of an aftermarket upgrade to the nissan ones, and what benifit i would get from fitting an upgrade? Cheers all
  14. Will it fail the mot for sure for a bit of pcv type smoke on idle? YOu might find the mot will pass
  15. Ebay doesnt do anything because they dont give a sh1t basically! Its the same reason why paypal doesnt really offer any support for crap traders! My experiance of ebay of late has forced a rethink and i suspect over the next few months more people will give up on ebay unless they offer decent people more support
  16. Nice work mate, how did you do the angel eyes? Are they switched on with your sidelights?
  17. Once again thanks smithy, hope someone else does read this thread, the guide is pretty clear but i just missed the way that bolt went round! Damn it, definatly a learning point for me, so hope others wont make the same mistake. Smithy if i ever make it to the isle i definatly owe you a few beers!!!!
  18. smithy your a legend mate thanks! I did put that one through the wrong way! idiot me!
  19. DOH! ive strippeed the threads on one of the brackets! where do i go from here? Can i nut and bolt through the bracket or am i going to have to fork out more ££ for a new 1 off smithy?
  20. arr that makes more sense. right off with the disc and war on this damn bolt! cheers all for your help!
  21. i have the sane bolts grahamS above with the same lables. they are about 5-6 mm longer than the orignal ones. could i just stick the orignal ones in and see how i get on? edit: just checked and strangly the orignal nissan ones wont go into the thread on the bracket. Guessing this means somehow the threads are different slightly? Attached is a picture of the nissan bolt and the new1
  22. Threading didnt seem too bad to be honest, but im thinking i have stripped some thread as to get the ones in question out now i have to apply pressure on the back side for the first few turns to get them to take. Then they unscrew properly!
  23. The first picture shows the gap that exists at the bottom of the bracket. 2nd picture shows how i think it should be after i gave it a shove. Thing is the bolt (with the allen key end) wont go any tighter and if i tried it would compress the existing washer.
