  1. It's about -2 and snowing here at the mo, after i spent 30 mins scraping and gritting the front of BACP car park too :headvswal
  2. See it looks like you haven't had alot of snow until you think just how huge those pickups are! lol
  3. Popped up to Doncaster last night to pick up the other half's pressy for xmas and it hit -13 on the way back(!) It was actually so cold that even with heated washer jets and antifreeze in the wiper fluid it froze in two sticks as it squirted out!
  4. Great news bob :D Well done mate! What have you decided about the wheels/arch clearance in the end?
  5. Happy birthday Jeff! :) Have a good one matey :duffer:
  6. I would think if he subscribes it should be alright as if he was offering this as a free service with just the cost of parts to be covered. If there was any money on top i think he'd be looking at having to become a trader but i think that'll be down to the discretion of the mods. I really need to update that siggy with a different colour car and a stonking great V8 throttle body sticking through the bonnet
  7. I could be interested in that. I've got a replacement now but would be good to get the old one fixed then hack it and install ubunutu and xbmc and use it as a media machine
  8. I would get it checked out buddy, my dad had the same sort of things happen to him and turned out it was his spinal column being trapped in the hole into his skull. Went in for the op to open the hole up, was a different man when he woke up. It got worse the longer he left it till he was suffering from so much pain in his neck and head that he lost his short term memory and we though he had alzheimers. Was total luck the doctor did a proper scan on his skull and found what i just described. That was 10 years ago and he's led a happy and normal life since and all the symptoms disappeared afterwards including the memory loss. Definitely worth getting yourself checked out properly buddy, even if it seems like it's nothing now these things get worse over time
  9. What do you charge for the red ring of death on a 360 (second gen)? Graphics started to distort and overheated before switching off.
  10. Great stuff mate, always good to watch a master at work :D
  11. Oh bugger  Poor little chap, so sorry to hear this buddy
  12. I have one of these in the V8: http://www.aemelectronics.com/wideband-air-fuel-systems-15/digital-wideband-air-fuel-gauge-25/ Absolutely spot on for what i used it for which was tuning the mixture. Very quick to wake up and very accurate for about the £225 mark
  13. Just picked up an 02 plate Mondeo TDCi 130bhp Estate with 92k on the clock and fully loaded with Ghia X pack (self dimming rear mirror, heated leather, global closure, climate control, cd changer etc) for £1900. Cracking car, drives like new and get 46mpg on average
  14. Flipping heck, what a legend :( RIP Leslie
  15. We had one of ours poison herself on floor cleaner last year and luckily she made a full recovery so keeping my fingers crossed buddy - i'm sure he'll make a full recovery :)

  18. Looks absolutely spot on Bob, can't wait to see it back together and on the road again! :)
  19. Sorry buddy, my day to day blew up last week, I fell out big time with my family and had work none stop to sort out as well as trying to find a new car. Off in 20 mins to go and pick it up and get last few bits of work done then hopefully I can get on with that last bracket and get the car back on the road again. Wish I had more hours in the day at the moment :(
  20. Unfortunately not going to make it after all that, the rover is sitting on the driveway after blowing the head gasket and need to strip and sell it and new car coming on saturday morning so won't be up in time for this. Have fun folks! :hyper:

  23. Dave it sounds like things have worked out for the best. He's done you the biggest favour you could ask for and given you the kids back.
