  1. Great stuff, cheers guys, I'm just looking to improve the mid bass response in the car, I did do a big boot install last year but to be honest I'm fed up lugging the extra weight around all the time, just need to locate these enclosures now.
  2. I'm looking to find out if the Bose rear speaker enclosures will fit behind stock boot trims on 2+2 that didn't have them from the factory? And also what aftermarket speaker sizes will they accept. Looking to enhance the sound but keep the boot as stock as possible.
  3. Treated the zed today to some Michelin PS3, fresh for the new season
  4. Stillen lip and skirts! But then I would say that..... :whistling: I really like the way the stillen lip continues the line down from the wheel arch, it looks very oem IMO, I think I achieved getting both sides of the lip sitting the same, AndrewG pointed out to me at Beaulieu how usually the the lip sits further out one Side than the other, thanks for the pointer Andrew :thumbup1:
  5. I feckin hate frazzles! :hurl:
  6. I can try my man at my local Nissan dealer if you want dan, he sourced my left door scraper moulding in 2 days as I was going jae last year.
  7. I actually just laughed on my own as I read this
  8. Does your shifter come out of park without depressing the brake pedal by any chance?
  9. Yeah but that's not a proper manual is it
  10. Oh Russ....... http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=262232010629 :whistling:
  11. Financially speaking I think it's cheaper to convert russ, with a new master slave and clutch it will last years if not abused, and although you have the calf muscles of the Incredible Hulk it will only go sideways if you make it, I do understand the auto is nice to drive but honestly converting mine was without doubt the right thing to do and my auto wasn't even playing up, I just got the TT conversion to do next
  12. You would need to check your emissions report to see what kind of test they put your car through, should have been a non catalyst test with co reading no more than 3.50 (Providing your zed is pre august 1995). As long as your reg plate is just the honeycomb background this is not a failure as it only applies to vehicles registered 2003 on. As for the service brake you would need to know which axle/side was letting the readings down if any, may have been a low effort on both rear wheels but I can't help without knowing more info. And as for the parking brake effort NEVER just tighten cable. You must first make sure your cables are de-adjusted, remove discs and check your shoes/adjusters and springs and the inside of the discs then refit your discs if all ok, adjust the shoes through the hole until they only just touch the disc and de-adjust half a turn, then adjust your cables to only remove the slack, do not adjust until the shoes begin to expand. The other bits are really obvious to solve, all in all not a lot to do really, maybe the corrosion repair may be tricky depending on how bad it is. Good luck with it bud.
  13. A mobile car valeting service that knows what they are doing, by the time you buy products and spend a day cleaning it they will not be much dearer and it will be a far better job IMO.
  14. My reg isn't recognised by the dvla websites either, their database is pretty poor to be honest, we have a lot of trouble with this kind of thing at work too. But you were right to be suspicious, it's the only way to be these days unfortunately.
  15. Pull that auto box out and go 5 speed...... U know you want to
  16. We're just waiting on a reply from the organisers as they are saying that anyone can display now, not just clubs, but me and dan will definitely be going so I'll let you know a time to meet up and we can park up together, you will need to purchase a ticket which I think is £6. I'll keep u informed mate :thumbup1:
  17. They're the sort of supplier you have to keep an eye on period!
  18. Fit the clutch servo under the dash as it's supposed to be, no point having a heavy clutch for no reason, take a vacuum line from the pipe going to the brake servo, but don't just bodge up some crappy pipe with oversize jubilee clamps, get correct size silicon hose and a nice metal T piece and use proper O clips with the ears that are crimped each side for a proper tidy and safe job
  19. Didn't do anything to the zed today but did collect my freshly painted rear bumper (with stonechip removed) and twinz rear diffuser, a busy weekend ahead
  20. Unfortunately this will most likely be true, it's very hard trying to explain to the majority of car owners why we need to do the jobs we do on their cars, god forbid we should tell them that their car needs new brake pads! They look at us like we have swore at them sometimes. Baffles me how people are so reluctant to maintain their cars when it's most likely their most used tool in their day to day lives.
  21. I had a 2010 Clio in work today, it was just booked in for a routine service. No mention from the customer about noises or engine running rough/erratic but upon driving the car into the workshop I knew there was an unpleasant noise coming from the timing belt area and the engine wasn't running great. So I pulled the timing covers off and found this..... Notice the lack of teeth on the actual belt! In fact 1/3 of the belt was void of teeth! I couldn't believe this was still running, and the crank/cam was only 1 tooth out of synchronisation! Threw a belt kit and water pump up it and she ran sweet as, truly a lucky day for the owner.
  22. Is this based on actual experience dan?
