  1. Another option is to just fit a cooler upfront solely for the transmission, this will provide better cooling over the stock setup.
  2. Can they not just trace the pipes and see where they lead? That will show what system they're connected to, I wouldn't bypass until you know their purpose.
  3. I would have joined in on this but I'm away with the kids over that weekend, have fun guys! :thumbup1:
  4. You cant be fairer than that :thumbup1:
  5. It wouldn't stop me going :thumbup1:
  6. Jump in a spare seat in a zed at tecsos.....:ninja: Or maybe even at tescos
  7. I think there is some degree of maintenance to these sort of upgrades, whenever I remove my wheels I always give all my suspension components a wipe over with a cloth soaked in wd40. Time will tell how effective this is but it's looking shiny still a year on so fingers crossed, as we all know though winter is hard on these cars now....
  8. Come on Richard where's your british sense of "I can fix that I can"? I'm sure you could have this rectified before Sunday, if not just use the disco.....:thumbup1:
  9. Good man Richard, me like left and right....
  10. I removed the orange diffuser inside my corner lamps
  11. Mine have been fitted for a year and still look fresh out of the box, car is garaged though and not used in bad weather (if I can help it) and not used in winter.
  12. Well done Stephen and thanks :thumbup1:
  13. :clover::clover::clover::clover:
  14. Really appreciate the offer dan :thumbup1: but I need to sort this before the drive to Beaulieu on Sunday so I've ordered the tool today, should arrive Wednesday so it's a job for Thursday.
  15. On Saturday I had a full alignment done on a hunter system I knew the rear camber and toe were out since fitting all the new suspension arms and shocks. Now everything is back into spec it drives absolutely perfect and am very happy with it but as I feared now the rear camber is correct it's brought the tyre sidewall much closer to the arch return lip. It only contacts on those big dips in the road but it's not something I'm prepared to live with. I'm happy with the ride height and the look of the wheel/tyre in relation to the body so I think rolling the lip is my only option. I'm open to any suggestions/advice/opinions on this and if anyone has actually rolled the arches themselves with the proper tool I would like to know what the results were regarding paint cracking etc.:thumbup1:
  16. I'm going to get my alignment done in the morning since I've never had it properly adjusted since fitting the meister r coilovers. Does anybody know the stock settings for wheel alignment? I'm unable to adjust front camber at present as I don't have adjustable fuca, I do have a set of shims but not sure on these to be honest. I'm really interested to know the rear camber and rear toe settings to see if that matches what the wheel alignment centre have on their system.

  18. Yep nice one mate appreciate your efforts :thumbup1:
  19. I genuinely fear for my children growing up in today's world. We consider ourselves more connected than ever.....but are we? Truthfully?
  20. And a better quality perhaps?
  21. You also didn't state track use either Alic..... Fair to assume that as your post followed on from the mot info given that's what you were talking about.
  22. Trouble is mate sometimes it's hard to know for sure that the corrosion is really excessive enough to warrant a fail, I've seen cars that were failed for corrosion only to have the owner appeal and have the DVSA agree in favour of the owner that the corrosion wasn't excessive enough to fail, it's crazy I know. And as always if we as testers have the slightest doubt about anything on the test we MUST pass and advise every time....
  23. That's a different matter, that doesn't apply to the mot in any way
  24. During the mot test Alic we are only concerned with the test criteria. Is the seatbelt of the type prescribed for the vehicle? Is it securely attached to the vehicle? We aren't concerned about "what happens in an accident" we have no way of knowing the outcome so cannot therefore fail it. Remember early zed belts attach to the doors unlike the majority of cars, what will happen in accident if the door becomes detached? Can we fail on the mot for that? Too many mot testers don't stick to the simple rules and test criteria, they like to make up their own interpretation and as a result get it wrong.
  25. The mot advisory is just that, it's bringing to your attention something which at the time of test isn't considered excessive enough to warrant a failure. Corrosion needs to be quite severe to actually fail an mot. Whenever you read a failure or advisory item on your mot certificate it's not something we as testers write, it's simply a multiple choice from a list pre determined by the DVSA . It's the same as tyres for example, if you present your car with tyres showing 1.6mm of tread I would happily pass your car, but I'm sure you would want to be aware how worn they are...:thumbup1:
