  1. That's not really the information I'm after afraid. I ALREADY have CC, I just want to get it to work with an aftermarket steering wheel, hence wanting to fit the CC stalks and wiring from a series 2. There is no place to mount the buttons without it becoming unsightly and awkward to use. I live 5 miles from a major motorway and use the car for long summer jaunts which mean I do some motorway mileage and I like cruise control. I also like EVERYTHING that came with the car to work.

Thora Hurd = Turd BTW, when I saw the title of the thread, 'British Slag', I was expecting to see....
  3. Could you make me a cool sub enclosure for me? I'd pay ya. :)
  4. I'd imagine it won't cost anymore than the £70 that Nissan charge for the rear window seal. Right autoglass or something and find out how much it would cost to pop out the window and re-seal it.
  5. Take the window out and have it rebonded. Jimmer has a similar problem I believe.
  6. As you know, series 1/series 2 non-SRS has the speed/set controls on the steering wheel with the indicator paddle on the right hand side. (Shown is a USDM car which has the indicator on a different side to JDM models), but all series 2+ came with indicator stalks on this side. I have an aftermarket steering wheel (Momo Race) on my series 1 and it'll either remain or be replaced with a Momo Daytona, so will not be fitting the original steering wheel and therefore my CC still remains redundant. There's no real suitable place to mount the buttons from the steering wheel anywhere in the dash without it looking messy. So, I am looking at retro-fitting the indicator/CC paddle and column shroud from a series 2+ with SRS. Now the indicator paddle is on the opposite side on SRS equipped cars. What I am wanting to know, has anyone ever done this? Is it pretty much a straight swap? Would I need to modify the column to get the indicator cancels to work? Or is that incorporated within the control ring that sits behind the wheel boss?
  7. Agree with Pete. 'Sometimes' it can look good. But if you're going to do it, do it properly. Vinyl is a cheap shiny product that GM used to trim their Bedford CF2 van seats with, not something I'd even replace tweed with. Vynil also doesn't feel nice like leather does, it feels somewhat clinical. It also doesn't have that nice smell either or feel nice to the touch compared to leather.
  8. I love cats. I'm meaning to get another one at some point. I miss my old cat Smudge who go wiped out by a car some time ago when I was a kid.
  9. Could be the MAF. Do you know how to check to see if there are any codes stored in the ECU?
  10. Regional tech. sales engineer for an industrial engineering company.
  11. Yeah he told me about that. They seem to have gotten their act together though so hope yours is back soon. Last year I was away a lot and all the national events either fell while I was away or were just like miles away....I also had stuff I wanted to get done to my car before I put it on a club stand.
  12. It's the boost spikes that concern me. Doesn't matter what engine temp with those.
  13. What damage has it done?
  14. I'd not trust jets after what has happened to some people's cars, so that's probably a good thing. Not sure what you have done to your engine, but at the very least get a remapped chip and boost controller...but I'd add some higher flow injectors to that list if I was doing it.
  15. Sorry to hear that Lisa. :(
  16. I think that the red is slightly lighter, but you have to remember that Nissan fitted chromed bezels inside the unit which reflect light back out giving the impression of a lighter and brighter light....which is why the difference between fake-specs and 99-specs is so strong.
  17. How was the bolster knackered? Had it collapsed or just worn through? Luckily I have 4 spare extra seats that I can butcher. 2 passenger seats and 2 driver's seats. 1 set being a Series 2 that I can use as it means I can now have electric passenger seat. The rest I can just mix and match to get the best bolsters.
  18. Add me as a possibility. Slap bang in the middle of summer, so I'll convoy down with Jimmer if he goes. I won't run, but will come along for the day. :)
  19. I think I might go to this. Doubt I'll run, but I might go for the crack and will take my Z and convoy with Jimmer if he goes.
  20. You not seen it since then? I used it a lot last summer.
  21. Andrea Duffetta makes an appearance at weekends then does she? lol
