Well said Vinni. They are doing a job. Everyone is so quick to blame the police!!! It also acts as a deterant. So with a bit of luck, the speed reduction will be pro-active rather than re-active. You can't just let people get away with things. I bet half the people on here would be up in arms if their children got mown down by a speeding biker saying 'where were the police'? You can't please everyone I guess, but they HAVE to be seen to be doing something. As Vinni says, if you speed, take it on the chin, you're the person responsible.

Thanks for the comments guys. She's coming down tonight as I think she needs someone close to talk to as hard as it is as I decided on a temp split. But I can't just sit back and let her endure this on her own.

The bung I saw was the one right at the bottom. Not the same one as the repeater is half way up the wing?

...I know this has been covered, but I'm trying to work out which bungs I need to remove in order to run a powercable up to the battery. Now, take off the lower part of the arch liner and there's a grey bung at the bottom. I popped this off and sure enough, it does go someway into the bulkhead...but to where? I took up the carpet and took off the ECU kick plate, shone a torch through from the outside to see if I could see where it went....darkeness. Am I going in through the right place? Or is there another bung elsewhere? Cheers

You thought about just buying another shell? The amount of work to remove all the surface rust will take ages and who knows what untold damage lies in the seams etc.

Thanks mate, I think she's coming down mid-week. I can't offer much other than support really. Unfortunately, not a lot the police can do. No CCTV no real whitnesses. People did hear her screaming, but the f**kers scarpered.

Me and Maddie are having bit of a break, maybe for a few weeks, maybe for longer, but I had a rather distressing phone call this morning saying that she got attacked by a group of lads on Sunday night on the way back to her car whilst being out with friends. She was punched and thrown to the floor all for her handbag!! She phoned me from the hospital earlier saying she'd gotten a broken rib, 2 further fractured ribs, internal brusing and a scratch to one of her lungs. I'm absolutely f*cking fuming that someone could do this to a defenseless young woman. As morbid as it sounds though, she can count her lucky stars she didn't get raped. But still, it was horrific. Pretty upset about it all, although not as upset as she is. :cry:

You sure? I know this is for an LHD, but I'm sure RHD are the same config.

Can't be that tricky. 'Should' just be a case of removing the steering wheel, removing the boss and coloumn shroud, then removing the old indicator stack, replacing new indicator and CC stanch, fit the wiring, fit replacement shroud, boss and wheel.

You can buy a set from Zcentre like everyone else did. :p Lot of money, but IMHO, every penny worth it. :)
