  1. Thanks Allan. Are you about this weekend? Could come up Sunday or even tomorrow if you're about.
  2. Add this one to the collect as everyone knows how shit I think they are!
  3. Ordered a set of 20mm bolt-on hubcentric spacers today and got chatting with him about Nissans. Said he went to Z008 and Japfest. Just wondered if anyone knew him?
  4. Got KYBs on mine. Very good. I'd say get uprated shocks over standard if you're fitting uprated springs.
  5. Cool, nice one. Cheers.
  6. Is it the same as the Z32? I know the PCD is. Just wondering if the centre bore is. 66mm I think? Ta
  7. That depends more if you're uprating your suspension or not. I lowered mine and wanted camber adjustment. Then there's stock ones with PU bushes. If yours aren't worn and your suspension is stock, then I'd leave them as they are.
  8. Yes but there are recesses in the wheel hub. So even with the 20mm spacers the extra length of the wheel studs should be accommodated in the recess of the wheel hub.
  9. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. If you have a Firebird from the 70s, then yeah, maybe...or if you're trying to get in with the Dukes of Hazzard fan club.
  10. Makes no odds if I am getting hub-centric spacers. ;) Never liked the idea of fitting anything larger than a 10mm spacer with extended wheel studs. Puts far too much pressure on the studs for like liking. I'll be getting the below.
  11. I am going to get bolt-on spacers for the front of my car to kick the rims right out into the arches. Rears sit perfectly. I've found out that with a 25mm - 30mm drop on the front springs, I can actually get away with a +20 offset. Currently, front wheels are 45 on an 8.5J width. If I go for 20mm spacers, this should give me a +25mm offset? That right? Si
  12. Then add on the shipping cost which would be £250+. I'd see what MJP could do. Whilst prices for gearboxes in the US look favourable, landed costs might not be.
  13. 97+ actually. ;) Yes, though, cheaper than having a recon. Circa £1,000 from the US before you add on shipping/duty/VAT
  14. Remove that spoiler!!
  15. Was it the Stillen ones you spoke to me about? I'm getting my names confused!! I'll be in touch anyway. :)
  16. Took my Z to Jimmer this weekend for him to rebuild the suspension. What a fab job he did of it as well. (pics to follow when the suspension has settled, geometry has been set and bolt-to-hub spacers at the front). BUT, just wondering; as we all know, suspension settles over time. Because I don't drive my Z a huge amount, will static weight still allow it to settle? IE, if it's sat in the garage with the weight of the car on it rather than it being driven with varying degrees of weight being applied. I guess it won't settle as quickly, but will it still settle out? I am waiting for it to settle a bit before I get my geometry set. The car is at a lovely ride height, a nice subtle drop. Hoping the front will drop slightly more. Done about 50 miles in it since as I wanted to bed in the new brake pads. But just wondering if it'll still be settling out? Incidentally, car feels awesome now, really stable, doesn't lean anywhere near as much.. Made me realise how much of a benefit fitted new/uprated suspension really is. Want some Whiteline ARBs now to reduce any last bit of body-roll down to a minimum.
  17. Of course! Cheers mate. :)
  18. I've just bought new pedal rubbers from MJP. Whilst mine showed no wear on them, they did have a set of Razo pedals on them which I removed. These had left nasty marks on them, so decided to replace them. Has anyone ever done this? Cutting them off I suppose is the best way to get them off, but what's the best way to refit? I warmed up some water and it does make them a little more malleable. Did anyone use grease to slide them on or do they pop on quite easily??
  19. Why do you want to shot blast them? To clean the outside edges? You don't really want to be introducing shot to a cylinder head. Parts washer is best for cleaning gunk buildup in these.
  20. MJP for correct fasteners. I replace nearly all the screws and clips on my car whenever I take anything apart. For the larger nuts/bolts, a lot of Jap stuff use fine threads so you need to be careful.
  21. Bit late I know, but happy birthday mate!! See you next month. :duffer:
  22. I never saw the point of retrimming a non-electric seat when doing my retrim. I just bought a set of series 2 front seats and used them as the donor seats. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=111081&highlight=seat
  23. Because the options by the thread starter were selected. TBH, maybe it shouldn't have been as there is a reason why voting is done in private on the real polling days. ;)
