  1. Yeah, for cheap cast alloy and poor quality Ling-Long tyres from China. £200 is about right. I've just replaced all my tyres for £500 all in. If you have decen quality staggared setup, you'll be paying a bit more for tires, especially with those profiles and widths. Personally, tyres/wheels aren't something to scrimp on in a Z.
  2. :x: :wack: :nelson: :smw:
  3. Good to hear from you again mate and glad all is good. Yeah, Z prices in north America are still pretty good and you should have no problems selling a RHD 2+2 TT. Z enthusiasts there see it as ubber cool as they never got the 2+2TT nor did they (for obvious reasons, get RHD). Do you have an email address over there? Few questions I want to ask. Cheers Si
  4. I have Powertrix adjustable everything. So far, no problems what so ever. Workmanship looks top-notch.
  5. Z32s really suffer from vibration issues. Could be tyres, wheels, shocks, prop-shaft bearing, tie-rod ends, gearbox mount, worn shocks. The list goes on. If it does it over a certain speed, it tends to be prop related. Gearbox mount also causes vibration.
  6. Highest mileage car I've ever owned was a Citroen BX TZD. Was an H-reg. Had it about 6 years ago and paid a measly £70 for it. Just a DD beater. Nearly 200k on the clock. I blew it up on the M4. I was going fast enough though, so that when the headgasket went, I was still at decent enough revs to keep some compression. It kept running for a bit with smoke and steam pouring from the car. All good fun.
  7. ...or are you talking about cab behind? LOL
  8. 405 beast! I bet there's no rust on it either! LOL
  9. I might meet up this Saturday. Looks dry for the day.
  10. Christ! After the shit he went through and he gets beaten up by his own. The culprits should be beaten.
  11. You can test them using ConZult or Datscan. You tell by the readings the sensors give whether they our out of spec or not.
  12. I dunno if I have a favourite mod. I kinda did them all to compliment one another. I like every one I did for different reasons. I am quite happy with how the interior came out. But I also like the easy bold-on stuff, like the 99-rear lights etc. That was the second mod I did to mine, the first was getting rid of the carrots on the wings!
  13. They are cat-overheat sensors. I wouldn't worry about them, they are not essential for safe running of the car. A lot of Zs have had them removed/disconnected. Just tidy up the wiring and remove the bulb. It's the 02 sensors that need to be in full working condition and those can be checked on ConZult. Powerbutton holds the revs longer afaik, but I don't have an auto, so not entirely eure.
  14. Dunno really. Always had a plan of roughly how I'd do things. The car's always been in good shape, so I've never really done anything I've wanted to do sooner.
  15. Actually, reading your other thread, I expect your knock sensor is maxing out and throwing the ECU into safety mode.
  16. Because the car's in 'limp mode'. Run a diagnostics check on it.
  17. The thing is, whilst they might look a bit 80's sci-fi, but they actually suit the car. It's theeeee most distinguishable angle of the Z.
  18.  Dude, you really gotta start reading through your threads before you post em.
  19. Did anyone watch Time Team on C5 last night where they dug up an old WW1 bunker? I like Time Team, but this episode was really really good. I was glued. I stopped what I was doing at 11 o'clock.
  20. I'm seeing loads at the moment! Uk rear bumper. Just seen it at the services. Looked very nice.
  21. Coupe lights? Caravan lights.
  22. I've just seen your car in North Carolina Stu! LOL
  23. I think you should just paint the roof pillars black and fit original (99) rear lights. Job jobbed.
