Very nice Gary! Car looks fantastic! I absolutely love the pearl yellow. Your castor is a little out on the driver's side front wheel.

Sale of a 1989 IMSA GTO car
When I went to Stillen's place in California about 6 or 7 years ago, I saw number 75 in bits, even with the clam shells off and the thing all in pieces, it looked awesome. Sadly I was unable to take photos of it, but quite a privilege. It was being prepared for the Monterey Classic at the time.

1998 LWB NA - the purple project
Seen quite a few late model cars with rot on them. Feel for the owners as there's less rust proofing that earlier cars.

I've seen far far worse, absolutely shocking condition it is, Alex's is in much better condition. This other 99-spec, the arches have gone, the whole underneath looks like it's been sat in the Mariana Trench for 20 years, just a mess.

Nice, when my Z was imported in the mid 2000s, it arrived with me sporting Razo pedals. Absolutely bloody dreadful things they were. Any of those clip on pedal covers are just awful. I replaced the rubbers as they had compression marks on them and the accelerator pedal all with new items. One of the first things I did. Junk! I don't think the accelerator pedal is available new anymore is it? Glad you've found one!

Brexit Poll
Exactly this!

Brexit Poll
None of that affects the everyman and is such a miniscule point it doesn't matter. The UK closed its borders too!!! ? I mean it's not like that's an everyday occurance, it's a once in a lifetime thing - it is of no concern.

Brexit Poll
???? The EU has a far better chance of survival than the UK's economy. Throw your biggest trading partner down the toilet in favour of blue passports and regressive sovereignty! We want our country back! It was never lost it in the first place. The UK is the spoilt brat of Europe (it almost always go its way anyway) selfishly wanting to 'go it alone' in a selfish display of self centred bullshit expecting to get amazing trade agreements from all and sundry. These new trade agreements are all bullshit and nothing more than a drop in the ocean and trying to carry on with this charade with what's going on in the wider world now is truly nonsensical. 'EU Politicians are all corrupt' I hear you cry, well news to you, UK's politicians are far more corrupt and far more incompetent....and always have been! Economic and cultural suicide leaving the EU, regressive and utterly pointless. I still can't get my head why we're going down the muddy shit infested road and how we got to this state, it defies logic and reason. EU is not the polished article, it never has been, it's a constantly evolving animals, throwing the towel is is NOT the answer. I'm ashamed and embarrassed to be British at the moment. Brexit is not the selfless British way, it's moronic. There isn't a single good reason to leave it. Our backfoot is gone, our insurance policy is gone, teamwork is gone, relationships severed and all for what; the square root of bugger-all, I tell you what it's created, a headache, grief and a nightmare.....what were we expecting!? ?

Brexit Poll
As expected, it's nothing but a shower of shite and an utter waste of time. Completely and utterly pointless leaving the EU for the UK, even more nonsensical especially at the moment with everything which is going on. There was never a good time for Brexit, but this is about the absolute worst.

Ladies and Gentlemen Nissan give you the 400z
At least Audi's is a bit more elegant. New BMW grilles look absolutely horrendous. Granted, they appeal to the Chinese markets who's unflappable admiration for these gargantuan grilles continues unabated, but the rest of the world consider them as gopping. I've never been a massive fan of BMW (with exception to the original CSL, original 8 series, E30 M3 and E46 M3) despite them actually being fairly well engineered cars, but there's now nothing that'll sway me over to them when I replace the C Class next year.

Just looks like every other rice rocket BRZ/GT86/Supra. If you're 14 years old and think drifting is the best thing in the world, I can see an appeal, but it's a hard pass from me. Pretty much why I've never really loved the rest-of-world Japanese car scene really as I always found the Z enthusiasts, the heritage and the cars infinitely more appealing over the rocket-bunny infested Fast & Furious fan-boi drifter mainstream Jap car scene.

Agreed, the interior is very 'Lynx'.

It'll be easy enough to personally import I'm sure. The engine (VR30DDTT) they're putting in it is already nearly 4 years old and is the one currently fitted to the Infiniti Q50S/Q60S, it's a pretty potent engine with good tuning ability. A friend of mine in the US has a Q60S and I'd probably rather have that. The platform is a revised Z34 platform, Z1 were asked by Nissan USA to fit a VR30DDTT into a 370 to see what it's tuning and handling potential and drivability was like in US environments. Seems to be a very good combination. I just don't think visually it has much appeal at all. Exterior looks like a quickly rehashed 370z, the interior the same. In fact the interior whilst not offensive, is probably the least inspiring interior I've seen for a sports car in quite a while. It's woeful dated already. I'm sure this will be changed as a lot of it looks like it's lifted straight from the 370 which is already well past its sell-by date (although a car I've spent many hours behind the wheel of and do enjoy it) and as that car has gotten older, it's looked worse and worse. NISMO looked fantastic....this is Nissan's last celebratory 2020 special edition version and it looks about as flaccid a car as you can get. Compare it to the NISMO version from a while decade ago and you can see how it's gotten worse over time.

I think the interior is already looking dated. We are still at least a year away from production of this car and that interior looks 10 years out of date if you take away the screens. Nothing about that interior screams 'bang up to date' to me.

I was hoping to have my socks blown off....sadly I wasn't. I don't hate it, but I find it disappointing. It doesn't really look like something that's been the fruits of someone's labour for the last number of years but rather a quick mash up following the morning after a swingers' party when no one's got anything better to do. It is just 'lacking'. Rear end needs flicking up more, that front end looks awkward especially that grille; it just doesn't quite work and it has the feel of nothing more than the re-skin of a 370....and I'd rather have a 370z NISMO at this point (which I quite like). I can see the design elements they've pulled in, but this was Nissan's great chance to do something with far more WOW-factor. On the other side of the fence, I guess it has been designed as a tuner car, so whilst it may look a little bland and a little frumpy in factory spec, it gives the tuning companies something to work with. As a base car, it looks extremely base, but I'm sure with the right wheels and some body enhancements it could look pretty sweet. Not won over though sadly. Looking forward to seeing the production version which I hope will focus on some detail rather than be watered down like many concepts which go into production as I think it will look dated extremely quickly otherwise.

Wheeler dealers
Haha. I too will do the same and look forward to all the blabber about 'alternators never last, turbos only do 70k, and that UK cars had better rustproofing' nonsense. ?

No contact from Specialtyz
All of the aftermarket car part vendors are experiencing a period of high business levels. With so many people either working from home or furloughed globally, car projects have been something that have been brought forward for many people. I believe Z1, Ionic Dynamics etc are all extremely busy at the moment.

- What’s your favourite 90’s Jap cars (other than the Z32 obviously!)???
Haha! ? Yes I am thanks, very much so. Just fitted some different skirts to it from the N24 model and have managed to get my grubby mitts on a set of the Aston 'lightweight' forged wheel which are currently at Lepsons. Getting those back on Thursday. So much for keeping it stock.....it is all genuine Aston option parts though.- What’s your favourite 90’s Jap cars (other than the Z32 obviously!)???
Funny sounding JAPANESE cars.....- Cracked Windscreen
Wouldn't waste your time with a used one; the probability of cracking a front screen on extraction is very high. Can be done with the rear windows and rear quarter windows as they're tempered rather than laminated . You can order new brown tint through National Windscreens. They're special-order only as Kev suggested and you're looking at least 6-weeks. I think the price has gone up. When they were a stocked part, they were only about £150 fitted I think. Now that they've gone to special-order only, they're around £250 I think. Still fairly inexpensive though in the grand scheme of things. Last time I had one done was right on the cusp of going over to special-order and they maintained the quote, but they've definitely gone up since being a special-order part. Being special order though, you can order whatever tint/sunband you want. Avoid AutoGlass as they'll try and charge you OEM pricing which is north of £850.- Speedo swap and mileometer
This is not clear, it only muddies the waters as there is NO speedo cable, I repeat NO speedo cable. It's electronic, the dash takes 100% signal input, there are no mechanical interfaces on the dash cluster. You're thinking of the speed sensor.- Speedo swap and mileometer
Folks generally aren't too concerned with miles on car as old as these, it's more condition than whether half is in miles and half in KMS. Really low mileage cars, yes, but most Z32s no, the focus is always going to be on condition. - Meetup and Drive 26th July 2020
