  1. Thanks goodness OC are no longer trading. Truly shocking levels of butchery I've seen although their legacy will long remain unfortunately.
  2. Not quite correct Richard. Europe got the Z32 until 96. ?
  3. I think for the hassle, I'll stick with manual. I mean, I'd never use a Z32 as a commuter car, so it's irrelevant to me personally. My daily hacks are autos and that's nice just for wafting through busy traffic, but I wouldn't waste my time driving a Z in that type of environment.
  4. I've driven both extensively, having owned the manual also for 15 years. The autobox has a very dated feel to it, it's only 4-speed too. Having said this, the world's fasted 1/4 mile Z32 is an auto. I'm just not a fan of torque converter autos on sports cars, they make them sound not like sports cars or even feel like them. The Z32s auto box isn't a bad box for its era, but definitely something I'd not have. They can hunt too and it can be annoying.
  5. Silver, silver and finally silver.
  6. I think it looks dreadful and totally pointless. The slicktop has quite a curve to the roof, I am sure with that closed, it will look flatter than the original contour and thus look even more out of place.
  7. The car that was used to create the action sequences on the advert was actually an NA underneath. It came up for sale in the US about 5 or 6 years ago from memory.
  8. Screw that, I don't even like driving my daily about in all that salt. You're mad Richard! ?
  9. 19" BBS LM on my old Z. Rare fitment in 19" format.
  10. £1,000,000? £1 million? Are you sure!? 000
  11. I'd say the best spec would be around 93/94 when cars came with most options and velour or leather rather than tweed or leather and you had electric HICAS which replaced the earlier hydraulic system. The tweed is not a nice texture at all. A lot of later cars (97+) came with fewer options so you'd not get cruise control or digital climate control and velour seats went away to make way for a black tweed type material. I prefer the styling of earlier cars personally, but condition is paramount (even if tweed was present).
  12. Your bodywork will fade away to the ferrous ore from whence it came. ?
  13. Are you still using it in all the salt Richard?
  14. How long is a piece of string? Currently, there's never been greater disparity. It all depends chiefly on condition, mileage, drivetrain and country of issue. Least appealing would probably be a high mileage tatty NA Auto, most appealing would be a very low mileage UK TT Manual or a late model pristine Japanese TT Manual. Literally 10s of thousands between them at their most extreme ranges.
  15. Tail just means at the back as in where a tail would be. Rear lights OR tail lights. Rear tail lights is a double-descriptive, it just reads funny. ?
  16. 'Rear tail light'? As opposed to a front tail light? ? ?
  17. I went full-circle, I had a 99-spec rear spoiler on mine for years if you remember. Taking it off and going back to a genuine original was one of the best things I did. I was 100% happy once I'd refitted that.
  18. When most have been modified over the years, going back to 'as originally intended' on a very rare car definitely is keeping one's individuality. ?
  19. You know you want to. ?
  20. Ditch the diaper. The 99-spec rear lights really sharpen it up. You know my feeling on the original spoilers (perfection). It's such a good example of a UK spec car, that it would be nice if the bodywork was returned to that as it was.
