What did you do to your zed today?
Had my mirror glass collected from a Ryukyu Nissan, a Japanese dealership in Okinawa today. I have some more stuff to pick up from there which I'll collect in person. These early mirror glasses without heating element aren't easy to get over here and I believe they're about £50 each. These work out around £17 each! :)

Ditto. :)- What did you do to your zed today?
Christmas came late! It almost looks too nice to fit. :) There's another 3 boxes of associated stuff as part of this clutch job. Can't wait to get it up to Jim's on the first dry salt free weekend we get!- Tesla in space
The truth there is, Gillian Anderson actually has a British accent and David Duchovney cut his acting teeth doing porno.- Back door trading

I'll throw in a bacon and egg sandwich, a fiver and a dog eared copy of Club International. He did me a fine rim.- Happy Birthday Richard Smith
Happy birthday Richard. :)- Which Oil Filter - 300zxTT
I think that's the old part number. That filter went NLA years and years ago. The one that Nissan supply now doesn't have the non return valve in it. The WIX filter does contain the non return valve and I believe so does the K&N. They're all good though.- Which Oil Filter - 300zxTT
OEM filters are plentiful in the UK. They fitted a number of cars and generally your Nissan dealer should have stock. Not sure why you're having difficulty in finding them, having said that, the last 3 or 4 filters I've had have been WIX. I use either OEM or WIX filters. Not tried the K&N ones, but aware the quality is good. Avoid FRAM and non branded oil filters like the plague. They contain low quality filter media and are of cheap construction.- Very happy recipient of present!!
Nice! Makes you wonder what old Z stock has ended up in landfill.- My daughter calls it Toothless the Dragon: My ‘95 TT Z
Looks loads better without the tint!!- Possible starter issue
Sounds like a dead battery. Check that that's fully charged. If it does end up being a starter, you're well advised to buy a new genuine one. They aren't cheap, but once fitted you can forget about it for another 25 years.- Tesla in space
Agreed, unfortunately the propulsion system which was the main aim of this didn't do quite what they'd intended it to, but they are getting there.- Tesla in space
Sorry, that still doesn't answer anything. When viewing detailed close range planetary NASA imagery on my 4K TV, I don't question why stars are not visible able when they're not actually imaging the stars, it has absolutely nothing to do with how hi tech a TV or camera system is, it's purely down to lighting environment. Again, they'd photoshop in stars should they think this would ever be challenged.- Tesla in space
FWIW, I'm open to all theories, however there just isn't enough evidence to dispell. Christianity on the other hand and creationism is definitely a conspiracy.- Tesla in space
Zero gravity does not have any affect on light, absolutely true, however it has an effect on the mass of an object and the way it moves in space and subsequently how that is then viewed. It's often how scientists work out what an object is in space. An object will appear to shimmer more quickly in zero gravity because the object is able to move at a completely different way to how it would in a gravity situation. I worked in remote sensing for the Ministry of Defence for number of years in the 2000s and we studied the way light and radio waves act on objects moving at different speeds. It has nothing to do with the speed of the light or radio signatures, but how the object moves about its own axis in a zero g and vacuum situation. The reason you see stars when they're on the moon is because they are looking directly away from the surface into an area with no atmosphere, just like we would in the night sky when there's no light pollution, they appear crisply. On the same vein, explain away all the hundreds of thousands of photos NASA take looking directly at planets with no visible stars in the background. Don't you think they would have 'photoshopped' in stars if they were they trying to make folk 'believe' and to allay any noton of a conspiracy theory? Still barely enough evidence to even consider it to be fake at this time.- Tesla in space
I don't think the reasons indicated for it being fake are just. Objects act completely differently in zero G, they have next to no mass and move about as explained above. The no stars visable is also easily explained. It's due to saturation of light. When photographing a planet at close range, the light emitted from the planet saturates the background completely. You see it all the time from NASA probes. In fact their last lot of imagery from the Juno orbiter around Jupiter which has just been released also shows no visable stars. I don't buy the fakers on this story I'm afraid. Need better or more evidence than that.- Tesla in space

They'll always be a conspiracy theory...- What did you do to your zed today?
I agree, especially if you're injecting stuff into the box sections, chassis rails and inner wings. It's best to do that on a hot day so that the product can 'creep'. Do it on a cold day or a damp day and you could be trapping in moisture. - New forum donation scheme
