  1. Really early series 1 versions I agree need more gurth around the bottom, but that is all and later style parts fit on the lower sections. I prefer the early cars with the slightly extended (stock) skirts and valances from the newer one. The pop up headlights look better. But still, early ones still look nice.
  2. Can't see anything wrong with this. :)
  3. Really? One of the prettiest cars to come out of Japan....in like....ever. Before I started ploughing loads of money into my Z, I toyed with the idea of getting an NSX.
  4. Do you collect filing cabinets Gary? ;)
  5. I kinda like the GTO, but actually find it the least appealing of the big four. It doesn't have the road presence the Z has, it has fussy lines, strange stance and just a look of oddness about it. That said, I find it strangely appealing, but it's not elegant, sexy or attractive like the Z32 is, the interior is interesting, but gloomy. As for driving one, they're 'ok' for a large GT car, but they don't set your pulse racing. 2wd versions are front wheel drive too! Eeeeek! I find the smaller FTO a more appealing car visually. Far neater and more pert. It's just a shame that most you see now are either battered or have had an Airfix kit blended into them....or are a miserable combination of the two.
  6. While we're on the subject of tax disc holders, anyone remember when these were all the rage? They always made me chuckle; quite why you'd want and need a piece of metal held together with allen bolts to hold a thin piece of paper to a windscreen, I'll never know. They'll be obsolete soon! Woot!
  7. Might give it a go. My front 3/4 plate has survived nearly a decade without trouble!
  8. I wish they'd just get rid of the horrid yellow on the rear plates and go with white rear plates like a lot of Europe do.
  9. Here it is. Thanks for sending me the pics earlier! :)
  10. Thankfully, they're axing this stupid artefact. It'll be nice to be able to clean the windscreen without having mess about with the task disk holder. Darn ugly thing! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-25223631 Looks like it's going to be phased out this time next year. It's a shame that there'll be an increase, but you can at least choose to pay monthly via direct debits. That's great for those that take their cars off the roads for winter. You can stretch it out a little more!
  11. Absolutely! No point in putting it on the roads at this time of the year, you're putting the car at higher risk as the roads are really slippery and then you may as well be pouring sodium bicarbonate all over it mixed with gravel! lol I am putting winter tyres on my DD today.
  12. The CEO is taking a number of us for a weekend in Milan sometime in mid January as our Christmas 'event'. Should be quite good. There's also a bowling and karting night next week.
  13. Not sure what it was like in the arctic, but down here in the tropics we had a long, warm and dry summer this year. Last year I barely did 500 miles in it, this year I did about 3k. :)
  14. You always expect the home-counties to be better! Oxfordshire's not too bad. Driving is generally that pleasant in the UK; if it's not the pot holed roads, if it's not that, it's the congestion. Looking forward to next summer for some more continental and US driving in Z cars! :)
  15. THIS! BBC News ran a report on it. I won't take my car to Gloucestershire for that reason! Worst roads EVER! lol
  16. Same MK. This is my second MK2 and it's a facelift also. The first one I had was just a 1.9 Sport not long after they were first launched. Got rid of it a long time ago, but I didn't have a SINGLE problem with it. The MK2s are ultra reliable and very well made. I prefer them to the Golf, especially the interior and general styling. The FR is fantastic and the one I have is the 170bhp and doesn't hang about. Well sorted chassis, especially with the optional 18s that mine has and simply fantastic seats. This is exactly the same as mine, same colour, wheels and everything. Only got it today and I'm over the moon with it, such a lot of fun, but seems to cruise well too. Smooth, responsive and pokey engine, but you can really throw it about and it takes quite a bit to unsettle it.
  17. One of the few kits I'd fit (minus the spoiler). Always seems a shame that there weren't more kits of similar style available in the UK (you couldn't even buy this here), all we got were grotesque monstrosities.
  18. Dave probably......
  19. They're all up there in the poll!!! :)
  20. Vote then! Cats, rubber dolls and middle names don't count! lol
  21. Strikes me that by far and away, the most common name on here is Dave! But just how many are you?
