  1. Interesting stuff! I wasn't aware of this, I have a little project for the weekend! The RR of my 19s is slightly higher than stock and would like to knock my speedo down a peg.
  2. Speed limit around Portsmouth continental Ferryport is 4mph. I jest. Yeah I know you haven't!! :p
  3. Interesting. How do you recalibrate the clocks? Resistor change?
  4. What's with the cable tie between your loom and battery terminal?
  5. That wrapped section is actually standard.
  6. You can view how many times a member has had comments 'liked' or 'thanked' in their profile, you, for example have 2 pages of likes/thanks in your profile. I kinda like it, but I agree, it's probably slightly detrimental to the forum post count. In addition, whilst I like the 'what have you done to your Z today' thread, it too is a source for lower thread count.
  7. ....and why not? We're suffering the very same fate. I agree with you that we get quite a hefty page-view count. But I think a lot of time, people just do like to read and don't have any input. I don't know whether we have stats for that same scenario for response/view ratios from a few years ago....Lee?
  8. Nissan 300zx Drivers (probably the most popular) Nismo 300zx UK (probably the worst) There is also the .net and .co.uk forum facebook pages which are very quiet. I am in the process of starting one for the American website with linkbacks and other stuff to draw people back to 3ZC a little. You also have a gaggle of more tech orientated ones like ProjectZ32, Nissan 300zx ZX Twin Turbo owners, 300zx Tech Help Plus a number of 'Z' related, such as 'Z people' and 'Fairlady Generations' Literally hundreds of regional / other Z sites also. I am a member of SoCal Z32s, LAZ32, Z Atlanta, Aus300zx, BransonZfest, Z1 Motorsports, ZcarsofNebraska, Zcon San Diego, Smoky Mountain Z Car Club, OCZCC, Midwest Z Heritage, Z Club of Texas and Heart of America Z Car club. + a few Z32 buy/sell sites. Lastly, I am also a member of 'Z Enthusiasts against AMS' page and of course PowerZed which I created for Jimmer! :)
  9. Did this a while ago to show the difference between fitted wheels and not.
  10. Those are the ones! Looks like you could get away with fitting these rather than the 10mm ones. You'd have to have all new studs if you wanted to fit those. Just check with me what your offset and wheel width are when you get a chance before you order them, just to make sure.
  11. That's better! Rears look fine, as you say, the fronts could do with a slight kick. You may even be able to get some 15mm spacers on the front (which would make life easier as you can get bolt-on ones at that size). Do you know what the offset is on the front wheels and their widths? This information should be stamped onto the hub face of the wheel or the inside spokes...and in some instances, even the inside lip.
  12. Need some 3/4 shots of the front and rear if you have any.
  13. ^^ - - - Updated - - - Got any photos of your car how it sits right now with wheels fitted?
  14. Oh right I see. Now then, offset comes into play. You can get the same width tyre and not have it rub if the offset were different. I could probably get 285s on mine. It would be extremely close, but unlikely it would rub. Having said that, when you're playing with tolerances that fine, the wheels and indeed the car, all have varying tolerances. For instance, I am running 275s on a 9.5" wheel @ +25 effective on the back of my car. Most people are running a +35. I have rolled the very tops of my arch lips slightly though, but I get absolutely no rubbing.
  15. Maybe they were red, I can't actually remember!
  16. hoppy bifday duudee
  17. Aluminium? That's a whole different thing....check this out.
  18. Yeah, worst idea EVER! If I ever buy any Driftworks stuff, it'll be going straight to the powder coaters before it goes anywhere near my car.
  19. My beef with silver suspension components is that silver looks like you've gone and painted it, rather than it looking clean and tidy. Manufacturers don't paint their suspension components silver. Just a thought. Silver is neutral however so won't look garish and cheap like having it a 'colour' if that makes sense. First thing I did before I fitted my KYB adjustables was strip off the yellow and paint them satin black. Which wisecrack thought that yellow was an awesome colour for suspension components is beyond me.
  20. Oh really? He has got a point. A really wide tyre will roll a lot more on a wheel than one that's ideal. 285 on a 9.5" is absolutely not a problem. Perversely, shit like this is dangerous AND it looks complete ass.
  21. Good luck with the rear end overhaul. I take it you're powder-coating everything? For the love of God, do it all black, not red/yellow/green/orange/whatever. :)
