  1. That works! Wednesday I have to go to South Devon! I can pass by Bridgwater which is close to Hinckley.....
  2. Shit I've still got to get your this banner thing! What are your movements this week Steve? Worst case scenario, I could meet you somewhere on Saturday or something. I was originally going to be out of the country for Japfest, but that changed.
  3. You are full of shite with your comments,, you have the front to be a joint REO ,,, This club is shite lately,, Don't, no why I bother anymore .....my god man!! Go take a chill pill and relax! :)
  4. I personally don't think 'boot installs' look good at all really regardless of effort, quality and budget, they're just not my slice of pie and think they look a bit silly. I think AndrewG has the best compromise with his slim line sub box that is almost invisible, yet he manages to get good quality sound. I did away with my sub and enclosure as I hated having my boot with stuff in it. I also found it embarrassing whenever I went to functions or took the car into Europe to have a 'phat sub' on show every time I opened the boot. I did away with it and returned my boot to a fully functional boot and it looks so much nicer and I don't feel ashamed whenever I open my boot anymore! LOL. I just upgraded EVERYTHING else with discrete high grade stuff and it gives me all I need. I have Alpine products throughout with a tiny, but punchy amplifier hidden behind the dash.
  5. Pearl yellow was only available on UK models for 1990 model year, so very rare (however available on Jap models until late 91). Never understood how cars like this get into such a state. If it is worth saving, I would try to, but those rear arches are probably shot. If you buy it to break, JoelyP will have the glass!
  6. Nice Z Chris! Did exactly the same, a quick dust down and a drive. Car loved the cool evening this evening. Fantastic boost!
  7. This was Martin's. I really liked the interior of that car....
  8. Just had mine done after winter layup!!! It passed after a light tinker with beam adjustment! I always sit and worry before an MOT despite knowing the car is up-together. It was great today as all the mechanics downed tools and wandered out to have a look at it, even while it was having its MOT done, 3 of them stood there and chatted about it. Every single one of them came up and told me how nice it was. It was then after driving it back that I realised how glad I am that I've kept this car for so bloody long! If I'd gone in there with a 911, or XK8 or something of a similar ilk, I bet they wouldn't have battered an eye lid. These cars are still such a talking point!
  9. Hi guys, I know this is a little late in the day, but Cribbs Causeway are holding their annual 'Bristol Motorshow' - it's a free event. http://www.mallcribbs.com/motorshow14.php I am looking at going on either the Sunday or the Monday. It's quite a family event, so should interest any of you that have that commitment and want to do something nice. Appreciate that this is late notice, but I'm going to be there either Sunday or Monday - if anyone else fancies attending, let me know and I'll make sure that I am about on the day(s) that you are too. :)
  10. Why don't you PM him? He is subscribed....
  11. Cool technology, but ridiculous and pointless.
  12. That's not quite true. There are actually only a small handful of vehicle glass manufacturers in the world and you'll find that OEM glass is made by one of those factories. In fact, only one non-oem glass manufacturer makes glass for the Z32 and that's Pilkington. Whilst OEM Z glass would originally have been manufactured by Asahi Glass Corp (AGC), Pilkington manufacture for a huge number of OEMs and are the only company now who make windscreens for the Z32.
  13. They should have the tools and know-how to remove them, but it's not hard to take the wipers and scuttle panel off. The side trims are a pain, no matter what as the clips can sometimes break on them. Again, they may have better joy at removing and refitting as I am sure they've experienced every trim and clip under the sun. I had mine replaced when I changed all the glass from bronze tint to blue tint and I had removed everything.
  14. Paul? Narrr, Paul is a good guy, he just takes no prisoners (idiots).
  15. I do know this! I've closed a few threads by accident on the US forum! lol
  16. Maybe you closed it by mistake!
  17. Congrats! Got mine in tomorrow!!! Eeeeek!
  18. People who are selling their cars often run the tax low, I only have mine taxed for half a year.
  19. That must be a new rule then! Thanks for the heads up. When I put the plate on my Z, it came off my other car that wasn't taxed. - - - Updated - - - What are you getting?
  20. Tax disk isn't required Richard, but an MOT, absolutely! The MOT rule has been around for about 20 years!
  21. Really?? Very 80s cheese imo.
  22. ....if anyone does buy a new one, or indeed find a good replacement, make sure you get the correct screws for the hazard switch. The screw is a different length to all the other bezel screws and most people have mixed them up and put the wrong one in. The fact of the matter is that the others are too long which means that as you tighten, it splits it open. Make sure you get the correct screw for this as you'll do exactly the same again.
