  1. That would be awesome! Just the chassis, I don't need the base or the plastics. :)
  2. A couple of weeks ago, I took the Z down to Glastonbury to see my parents. As I was driving down Glastonbury High Street, a woman stepped out between 2 parked cars just as I drove past her. There was an almighty bang, I didn't even have time to brake. Well I pulled over and a nice family had gone to her aid. She was sat on the floor with a badly bruised leg, but was ok. The lady was Spanish and had looked the wrong way, saw that it was clear and just stepped right into the road at the wrong time! We spent some time making sure she was ok and she apologised for it and took full responsibility, she was quite a sweet lady and we made sure she could walk around and didn't have shock. No real damage to the Z other than plastic lines/marks up the side of the car which polished out. Shook me up a bit though! However upon driving back to Portishead though, noticed that my mirror was vibrating. Managed to take it off yesterday as I am doing other things to the car to discover that the impact had broken the cast aluminium mount inside the mirror where the motor sits on. Not really the right section, but whilst we're talking about it, does anyone have a spare passenger mirror chassis? I really don't care for the state of the mirror, just the chassis.
  3. Nice work Terry! Really looking forward to seeing this complete!
  4. There are some really good shows/events on this year - seems the best yet. I really like things like that which Al has arranged, Beaulieu should be be really good too. LakeZ always looks nice, it's just a mission for me to get to. Glad more things like that are happening this year as it's that sort of thing that interests me.
  5. MORE updates Terry please! WHY have you still got the bronze tint glass in!!?!??! You have blue glass in your kitchen!! :p
  6. Has the club got a presence there this year? Whilst it's not something I go to, or have interest in, I've not seen anything about it in the events section for those that want to go.
  7. The 'mess' is clearly laid out. Borrowing my neighbour's garage so I can lay all the parts out with fastenings the way they came out, so it's not taking much time.
  8. Don't feel guilty for making a claim - it's the whole reason you have insurance. Make sure you claim, it's why you have glass cover. Now I have glass cover, but I swapped ALL my bronze tint for blue, my bronze glass was unbroken and unmarked, I didn't claim a new screen, I paid for it, but if I'd had a crack in it, I certainly would have claimed.
  9. Trish's won't be bronze. It'll be blue.
  10. Not quite true. ALL JDM cars from late 94 onwards had blue glass. In addition, all saphire blue JDM cars from 90 onward also had blue glass.
  11. Trish, yours will be a blue tint. I wouldn't waste your time with a used screen, new ones from National Windscreens are only about £150 fitted. You'd about £50 to remove and refit a screen. Often they break anyway and the cost of a second hand screen is about £50-£75. A brand new screen isn't much more. A brand new screen is also a LOT nicer than having an old marked screen. For the little they cost, I wouldn't bother with a second hand one. If you have windscreen cover, even better! Who cares if your cover is 3 days old, you HAVE cover, use it legitimately. The story is a little different for bronze screens.
  12. Welcome back! Car looks pretty tidy. Needs that awful rabbit hutch mesh removing from the front bumper and some more flattering wheels and it'll be perfect! :)
  13. Third brakelight you just buy from MJP. It's the perspex strip. UK cars always had a blank, but they're easy enough to wire in. You'll need a different brakelight module however as it'll throw up an error code.
  14. I got mine from Ionic Dynamics in the US - a cast was taken from the original spoiler and to date, is the best quality reproduction I've seen and I've seen plenty! :) http://www.ionicdynamics.com/300zxnew2.html Got mine about 7 years ago.
  15. Nothing wrong with keeping your pipes clean dude!
  16. You're better off just fitting the 99-spec spoiler. It contours the car correctly. Something just doesn't look quite right on that IMO.
  17. See, I failed and used the website's own search engine! MUST GOOGLE MORE! :)
  18. Beat me to it Al! I'd JUST found it! Bast'!
  19. It was Anthonyd who did it. Quite novel and different, but I didn't think it looked right. Will try and find some photos for you.
  20. Very similar! Except these are cast monoblock.
  21. The best way of getting these would be to us an agent. I use a guy out in California who owns http://www.wheel-choice.com He'll ship to a local place in Japan and then they'll onward ship it. He takes a small cut, but it's not excessive. He's Japanese, so has an account on there and can bid/pay etc. **edit** Seems it's shut down now, but there are a few other places that will act as agent for you.
  22. ...as luck would have it! http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m115081970 Do you need the centre dish too? That might be slightly harder to obtain.
