You gotta admire the chancers of this world...
No...when I said 'go for it', I meant 'he should go for it'! lol When we were showing our cars at the NEC, a few people asked their values and thought they'd be closer to, if not more than £10k....perception is there to an extent.

...for an auto! I say go-for it...but he got a good, but respectable price for it originally considering its drivetrain - £15k is waaayyyyy optimistic.

at what power level is to much for the road?
Unless you have a quality TC setup, I'd say 500-600bhp is most useable IMO and even that is big power. Anything over is just for blagging rights/track or circuit use really. I've been in a 750hp Z in the US and it was spinning in 5th gear. It was awesome/insane but was mostly a track car and dyno Queen, but still...there becomes a point where 2wd and older chassis setup just can't cope with that sort of power on the street, it becomes a waste of time.

Bus enthusiasts in the house! ;) :)- Investing cash - anyone bought a franchise?
Yeah I'm apprehensive about that too. Property here is desperately expensive, so I'd only likely consider a buy-to-let further north where the house prices are half! We'll see though. As for a franchise - I think it was a wild idea, I just fancy working for myself! :)- Investing cash - anyone bought a franchise?
God no! Just wondering if anyone had done it, that was all and NOT for a fast food chain!- Investing cash - anyone bought a franchise?
I've got quite a healthy sum of cash that I'm looking to invest - but not in property. Has anyone here ever bought a quality franchise? I've done a bit of research into companies that sell franchises, but just wondering whether anyone here's actually gotten anywhere. I'm not talking Utility Warehouse type franchises, I'm talking quite substantial franchises.- 1998 n/a
Yeah it does! Where's the rust then!?- Go on then, who just outbid me on ebay
Seconded!- This passed us today!
I see a lot when I'm in California. I'm not all that taken by them if I'm honest. Wouldn't turn one down of course, but they're not on my top 20 'dream cars'. :)- for those looking for a zed...
You can also tell by the VIN whether it was fitted with leather as it tells you the 'trim' code too.- for those looking for a zed...
Nope, t'was an option. A rare one...no more so than CC though.- for those looking for a zed...
Later 95+ reverted to black tweed. So, series...5 or 6. Leather was still an option, but velour was discontinued and wasn't an option.- New UK supplied rear diffuser
Eeeeoooow! Look at all that exposed fibreglass!- My Green Zed
Not fussed about doors not being available anymore. Z32 doors are about the very last things to rust...in fact I can't recall actually seeing a rusty Z32 door....just rear arches, sills, tailgate, lower front support, floor etc. Not sure why you wanted new ones?- A few spotted bits on ebay that I can't afford to buy.....
SMICs are far nicer though. :) I have Z1 SMICs on their way. :D- 99-spec window switches - an alternative?
I know, those are back-lit, not illuminated. ;) I'm being retentive now...but I think the illumination is a little nicer on the later stuff rather than the retro-fit backlighting on the earlier switches.- 99-spec window switches - an alternative?
I think it's more the feel. I much prefer more modern toggle style switches. They're illuminated too.- 99-spec window switches - an alternative?
This might be something for phutumusch..... I've been looking through various Nissan and Infiniti interiors. This was actually prompted my a friend of mine in Los Angeles. I came across the e/w switches from the P11 Primera which are identical. (See both photos.) I don't know what the situation is with the wiring, but I am sure they can be modified to fit physically and electronically. I believe these are already pre-illuminated too. The bases would need to be split, hopefully that split chassis would mount up beneath a stock Z32 finishers. Z32-Zone do an adaptor harness, but not entirely sure whether some loom from a Primera can be spliced into the existing harness in the doors. Just some thoughts for those that might want to try it....myself included! The issue would be the finisher....whether that could be modified...- Another new member alert!
Here's a pretty decent one. Ebay rear lights and that rather odd nose panel aside, it looks like a nice example. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1991-NISSAN-300-ZX-TWIN-TURBO-MANUAL-420BHP-/191504057240?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2c96880398 Personally with this, I'd fit 99-spec rear lights, remove that rear fog light, re-black the lower part of the spoiler and fit a stock nose panel....possibly would remove the skirts too as it doesn't have front or rear bumper extensions. This car I'd certainly have a look at. Price is good too.- Dash Cam.
