  1. They currently are black and I'm not too sure. I'd sooner do a really dark metallic grey.
  2. Since buying my Brembo GTR calipers, I'm obviously doing a complete rebuild on them, but I'm having trouble deciding on what colour to do them. I personally can't stand anything other than neutral colours, so black, silver, grey and anywhere in between. I had thought about getting them done silver with black or grey lettering in a high gloss....but not too sure about that. Another choice would be to do them a high gloss metallic grey with a silver lettering, similar to the 370z Nismo calipers - but with a higher more detailed shine. Or....I have considered a shadow-chrome effect....but not too sure if this is cheesy or not. It's not an 'in-yer-face' finish, it's quite subtle....with black lettering. Similar finish to the wheels of this M5.
  3. Those plates often fall off. There are riveted plates further down which I can make a shadow out on, just. Also that exact style/design with the inwardly rolled tops and smooth feathered boxes is only indicative of the Veilside system.

  5. This tatty looking thing is up for sale....can't imagine it will go for much, but it has a Veilside system. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=221712015005
  6. Where did you get your current ones from?
  7. You can't like something that has a spoiler that looks like it's been melted and then picked up by King Kong! That is the worst spoiler ever; I've seen nicer fecal matter.
  8. Either he's got a matching GTR set (rear calipers on the 350z are not direct bolt-on, they require cutting and welding of part of the rear knuckle) or he just has a set of GTR front calipers already). :)
  9. THIS!! Difference in disc pricing is only about £30-£40 for side-by-side rotors.
  10. IIRC, the GTR disc is 320mm...I stand to be corrected however.
  11. Top tips : do NOT use filler on the bumpers : sand the moulding out. Do NOT take off all the stuff that's on the sides - it's stone chip, but you can smooth the high spots to give it a smooth appearance, just don't take it to the metal.
  12. See you tomorrow Joel! :) Looking forward to seeing one of my favourite cars in the club again! :)
  13. Damn! More involving than an engine rebuild!
  14. Pretty sure you have rods and levers inside that. You'd need to add the servos, a loom and an ECU.
  15. Maybe he should complete that task first then.
  16. I agree with that Noel....but it's clear the OP hasn't got the funds for what he wants and is trying everything to get to that situation whereas, there's a much simpler route? :)
  17. Well....the guy moans about not having the budget for what he wants.....but really, the best option is just to wait a while until he had got the budget. Maybe I'm missing something, but this 'going round the mulberry bush' seems like a waste of time? Save another £1k-£2k and you'll find something that you actually want...or at least something to start with.
  18. Here's a great idea.....save up for a nice one! Why are you in such a rush to get an old turd to fix up, or spent ages doing a TT conversion? Save some pennies for god sake! :)
  19. If you unplug the wastegate solenoids, you'll get unlimited/ungoverened boost.
  20. You know you don't need to take off the door card to remove and refit the handles, right? ;)
  21. Haha! JoelyP and I were wondering whether anyone from here was also bidding. I thought the bidding was going to end at £350....but the last second shot up to 384....still dirt cheap! They're going to be stripped, blasted, powdercoated in a smooth silver, black lettering. Should look clean and slick and more importantly give the car a little more 'feel'!
  22. Finally! Bigger brakes! Just won these for an absolute bargain! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=251852729242
