  1. They don't. Having said that, when you place the ends of the stock lines next to the ends of the HEL lines, they don't interlock. It's quite strange. But if that's how they intended it to work, then I guess I'd better just fit them!
  2. Hi Jeff, These lines are not for direct calliper fitment, they're only for hardline fitment (as per what the vendor advised). The ends won't screw into the callipers.
  3. Received a response from the vendor who's been very helpful and been in touch with HEL. "Nothing wrong with that at all. Ours is dual seating meaning it seals on any opposing seat. Used this for over 7 years worldwide without any issue on all our kits" Guess it's good to go then!
  4. Thanks Pete! I just realised I'd gotten it the wrong way round when I pulled out my new OEM hard lines from the box. Least I know I am not completely potty (although that has to be questioned anyway LOL). I hope the vendor comes back after I've sent in the photos.
  5. I just can't see how you'd get a good seal with a male chamfer butted up against a male chamfer....the whole point of having male and female chamfers is for them to butt up to each other. I just don't understand why this part would come without female chamfers at either end.
  6. I bought the attached from a vender in the UK. I believe there to be an issue with them. Fittings from the hard lines and the lines on the body are of a male chamfer (both) meaning that the SS lines should both have female chamfers on them enabling them to locate and centre before being screwed in. The issue I have is that the lines I have been sent have BOTH on them, ie one male chamfer and one female chamfer. Of course having a male chamfer butted up against another make chamfer would mean that the ends would not align, even when screwed in together. Vender insists this is how they come and that they only come with one chamfer style. Before I go mad - have I missed something??
  7. I know, but the whole point to them (if they even had one in the first place lol) was to stop surge loading between gearchanges on manual cars (which doesn't really happen on Z32s as they have recirc valves)....they don't even do that on an auto!
  8. Dude, he has an auto. Putting dump valves on an auto is like trying to have sex with a football, they just won't do anything.
  9. Suggesting worn suspension and possible damaged to one of the suspension turrets (non OE welding). That damper shaft should sit centrally in that strut top bushing. It could be a result of misalignment, a bent shock shaft indicating a possible accident damaged vehicle.
  10. Stick with trusted established items. I wouldn't buy them.
  11. If it's only just come on all of a sudden, it's likely that it's one of the hydraulic lifters especially if you've only done a short trip. As above though, Jimmer at PowerZed is the ideal person to take it to.
  12. Dump valves are a complete and utter waste of money. They add zero and are actually detrimental to the car's natural fueling cycle. I'd rather remove my turbos than fit dump valves.....which make your car sound like it has air brakes from an articulated lorry. Not one single car manufacturer the world over fits atmospheric dump valves to their cars, they're just a waste of time and a bit of a joke, even more so on an automatic!! Personally I absolutely detest the things. Welcome to the forum and good luck with the project!! :)
  13. Very nice, I do like these! :) I like the previous iteration too, the Sport model looked awesome.
  14. Agreed; they've got gathered centres and some embroidery. I wanna know what the hell they were doing in what they've been removed from!
  15. It's 'thinking time'. It's healthy!
  16. Same! I go to the Arizona desert for that very reason! Wales is ace too half the amount of traffic too if you're there for a drive. :)
  17. If you want it bad enough, you'll get there! I totally agree, the only city I've lived in was Southampton when I was at Uni, but that was by the coast. I lived there for a year after uni too and whilst I like Southampton as a city, I couldn't stand living there and that was purely down to city life. Despite my loud mouth, I love the peace and tranquility of the countryside. :)
  18. Was that a CL65? I have a real soft spot for those. I like the models from about 06/07. Really nice looking cars.
  19. No, it's small private contractor.
  20. It's part of a small development that I've had specified. I had considered buying land as I have a couple of friends who are architects, but planning permission and all that nonsense put me off especially in an area where most land is greenfield.
  21. Spent most of my life in the countryside. I was raised in Glastonbury and my parents still live there. I'm having a house built there as it's a lovely part of the country to live. I can't cope with city life at all. I currently live by a marina on the coast, but even that's become too congested now.
