  1. Will email you the hi-res copy in a bit. :)
  2. Last year's jaunt to the south of France with Joel, Andrew and myself was theeeeee best drive I've had in my Z in the 12 years I've owned it and I've taken it overseas about 6 or 7 times. Simply fantastic, the drive was awesome, the weather was perfect, the cars got a staggering amount of attention, for more than any of us envisaged and they looked so good together; the fact that we were the French flag also helped! There have been vague discussions about the 3 of us going to Monaco later this year. I'm going to get this turned into a giant canvas for my study!
  3. Oh I bloody well am; I rarely hold back! Almost every 'common' replica I've seen based on Italian exotica is laughable at best. This is far worse:
  4. If you're interested and have facebook, these guys are fantastic - I love their work. https://www.facebook.com/Indywidual-wheel-Dzidziusbmw-Zbif-435223189880338/photos
  5. If you convert them to 3-peice wheels, it'll turn the 16" into an 18". Only the face from the stock wheel will be used and they'll be mounted onto a new large barrel. The rest will be machined off. For example, the wheel centres of my BBS LMs are about 17", whereas the true size of the wheel is 19" if you include the barrel. This is common on all modular wheel systems.
  6. Yeah, they're lovely. This is what I have planned one day! I'll probably buy another Z32 in the next 12 months to have over in the US and will get some of these made up for them. There's a company in Poland that do incredible conversions on OEM wheels.
  7. Excellent stuff - congratulations!
  8. I'm still looking at getting some stock wheels remanufactured into 3-peice wheels at some point. That'll project has taken a back burner whilst my house has been built.
  9. I think you're actually a little out of touch with that. I might be a wrong-un, but I talk from general consensus. :p - - - Updated - - - Originals actually look better. They fit nicely for a start, then there's the issue of the size of the lenses which doesn't match the rest of the centre section - mind you, nor does the rest of it.
  10. LOL, I struggled. I know Chris who owns leatherwheels.com and he made an auto gaiter for a friend of mine out in Arkansas - it took a while, but managed to get used to it! - - - Updated - - - Oh but you're quite wrong. :p
  11. Just make sure that when you clean all that moss and mildew from it, you destroy those nasty cheap looking ebay tail lights!
  12. Correct. Generally 89 or very early 90 models. There aren't that many in the system, yours is unlikely to be affected - but worth checking if yours is a 90 or has had an engine swap in the past.
  13. Pre-599 engine block numbers.
  14. 3K budget and reliability? Hmmm. Synergies are not quite there I think. He may get lucky - but the odds are stacked against him.
  15. The most recent one I had was a guy on his mountain bike going round a roundabout. Kept looking as I went round, I booted it and turned round again and as he did so, he clipped the curb and went flying. Only injury was to his pride.
  16. I think the issue with Wales is the weather. It's more unpredictable than the rest of the UK is. The roads really are best driven on in the dry to be able to experience the full package as they can be pretty treacherous in the wet. If you're a lone wolf and can pick any day, then it's fine, but group drives, it takes more planning and choices of times and days are often then thrown out of the window which subsequently entails a 'set' weekend. 65% of the time, the Welsh roads are sopping wet and/or foggy.
  17. Some fantastic roads in Wales and the best part of it, many of them are practically deserted!!
  18. Other than MJP who's out of action at the moment, you could try ZCentre. Email them and ask Luke to get you one. Get a price from Nissan first.
  19. This! JoelyP, AndrewG and myself gave our cars quite a roasting going through the Gorge de L'ardeche in southern France last summer in pretty hot conditions and they never once struggled. The stock cooling system is actually pretty good. The only benefit that it can do with is a slightly larger radiator. I still run a stock radiator and I've never ever had issues with it.
  20. It's only a C220. Nothing spectacular.
  21. You haven't seen the salary I'm jumping to! ;)
  22. Changing jobs and the new one comes with a car - it'll be a C-Class.
