Forum and club praise!
Worst 300zx facebook page is the Nismo UK page - absolutely terrible; it resides in the very apex of all that is patience testing w**k. I've blocked resubmission to its sorry ass. - - - Updated - - - Less time that it took you to buy a replacement Z32! :p

What did you do to your zed today?
No I won't, I have an ENORMOUS boost leak from my recircs. When doing a smoke test, smoke poured out of them.

What did you do to your zed today?
Finally got round to doing some bits and bobs on my Z today. I've been going through the engine bay renewing all OEM fasteners with replacement new OEM fasteners and getting everything that was painted, powdercoated so that it looks like new. No photos yet. I did however finally get round to rebuilding a set of recirc valves with the BDE GHK kit. I am really looking forward to fitting these and regaining my performance. I need a couple of hoses which I trimmed to fit my aftermarket recircs which have now failed and then fit these.

300ZX 2+2 one piece Z1 drive shaft on eBay pro con, should I buy?!
An engineering shop that Jim knows, I think they're based in Wales, I'll ask him later today.

I had a single piece prop fitted by Jimmer last summer and it completely changes the car, even the resonance in the exhaust. It feels more refined and it seems to even out the powerband a little - most importantly, it's silky smooth; a worthwhile upgrade in my opinion if you're getting prop vibration.

Nope, not been a naughty boy at all actually. :)

Most annoying motoring habits
Middle lane motorway hoggers are probably right at the top of my lift, followed by people who don't understand land discipline at a roundabout, even when there are arrows on the road telling you which lane to get in - and those who don't indicate. People that drive onto the motorway ramp and fail to accelerate in a manner that'll allow them to join the motorway at motorway speeds. I could probably write a book about it and a huge long list!

Forum and club praise!
A positive thread! I've been a member on here for over a decade now (apart from a 12 month sabbatical). As time has gone on, especially over the past few years with the new committee, that the club has really blossomed, despite reducing in size. I think the membership base has become quite a close-knit community. I love it on here, I've made some life-long friends from the people I've known here over the years and been on some awesome adventures with some. I feel fortunate to have such an awesome hobby! I think the forum is run well, the club is fun and the cars themselves generate quite a lot of interest outside the community, more so than a lot of other makes and marques. The car has also matured and more people seem keen on restoration projects than grafting half a boat onto it which has reinforced my own enthusiasm for the car that is now an appreciating classic. Long live the Z and the club! :)

300zx weekend and AGM at Coventry
Forward that to the admin mate. I'm no saint by any stretch of the imagination, but abusive, violent and threatening PMs are way over the line and strictly against AUP; that's disgusting, the club doesn't need that. He's been warned about that before.

More people being insulted by PM? There was enough of that from Clint Thrust last week.

Whilst there is a fracture, I don't think it's a big one tbh. It was in its infancy with the Duffer incident, then it migrated to the Hollowpoints and Mike Bean. The numbers involved in the rift are relatively small. Where interest lacks is basic club awareness. Something that Andrew, Joel and myself, with groover, Richardsmith and Craig were the number of owners who came up to us at the NEC who weren't aware of the club despite despite owning their cars for a decade plus. Revitalising interest at high profile events no associated with the drift or tuner scene is something that could be boosted. Not everyone is interested in events like that. The classic car crowd showed a lot of interest in the cars and as the cars mature and move to classic status, stuff like that matters also. I personally prefer the classic and retro car type events over everything else. I'd like to think we'd one day get a presence at stuff like Goodwood etc, the LeMans and Spa Classic, the latter of those I can't attend this year.

Pretty sure that's what happens at LakeZ. Perfect surroundings and folks that will go out for a drive also.

Mileage?
Mine has 85,000 on the clock. I do between 2k-4k a year depending on whether I'm doing any long-haul euro road trips in it. It gets driven predominantly in the summer when it's dry. I avoid ALL potential salty road conditions and never take it out in the wet and it's been garaged since I've owned it (first UK owner) in nearly 12 years. Whilst my car gets babied and maintained at all cost, it also gets a lot of use in the summer months and I don't drive it with a light foot either.

£7.5k Z32
It doesn't go stale over such a short period, but its octane rating does diminish, even 3 or 4 points can turn what was super UL into regular 95. It's especially important for TT models with higher boost levels and a different map geared for a 97ron or higher. I wouldn't put 95 anywhere near my car unless it was the only fuel available and I'd drive in vacuum as much as possible. 95 is fine for NA cars, but on TTs, I wouldn't want any chance of detonation and having older fuel in my tank would increase that risk.

£7.5k Z32
I rarely top my car. Fuel loses octane really quickly, most people don't use their cars as daily drivers. I'm not filling my car with Tesco's finest only for it to lose octane - I don't want my TT running on lower octane fuel due to phase separation. It would take me about 2 months to get through a tank of fuel, but which time it would be rated at regular 95 - in addition, I'd be hauling around extra weight with me unnecessarily. The only time I do brim mine is when I take it on a long road trip.

You have been negative I'm afraid. 'The events list sucks' is nothing BUT negative. Events change, things change. JAE doesn't appeal to me personally in the slightest, however there are other things going on, Coventry for example - this is new, there's likely to be more Z32 owners here than at anything else. Focus on the positives rather than saying that it all sucks and how disappointed you are all the time. :)

I think you think the club is actually bigger than it really is. We are a VERY small club with quite a small membership, it isn't what it was say, 10 years ago where membership was 3 or 4 times of what it is today. It has nothing to do with members not being bothered, it's the fact that we don't have the membership base to hold many many events and monthly meetings.

I'd say there are plenty of events especially considering the low ownership numbers and the fact that there's no NEO, I think if you want super busy events lists then maybe you should consider another platform or a multi-type club. The Z32 scene in the UK is extremely small compared to almost all other performance marque or model specific clubs. Moaning about how much the events list sucks isn't going to help bolster enthusiasm from the remainder of the ownership.

Mileage?
My point being that a huge number of Z32s don't show the correct mileage. Not saying yours doesn't, but cars with genuine low mileage still have all the cadmium plating on most of the bolts, not rust and almost zero wear on plastics and fabrics.

Mileage?
46k miles? It must be utterly immaculate...
