That would have been Imperial Green. Very very dark green, almost black.
  2. Round about J22 southbound on the M5 going rather slowly.
  3. Think you'll find they aren't. All cars fitted with them from the factory are required to have a headlight cleaner. They all have some kind of jet, most cars have a tab that moves out which you can't see when not being used. If you look on all the new Mercs, BMWs, even lesser specced cars, such as Lagunas, Astras and such like, there's provision for washer jets.
  4. Cars with HIDs are required by law to have a washing mechanism fitted. AFAIK, your car can fail an MOT if you've fitted HIDs and you have no headlight washers. But, unless you find an MOT tester who has a magnifying glass and a lot of spare time on his hands, you'll more than likely be ok.

I'd sooner have an LC, it's a better car than the two BMWs listed and far more individual. Btw, ALL LCs came from the factory in Imperial Green. Only one was ordered to be resprayed by the dealership in silver and AFAIK, it's the only genuine one in a non-standard colour. Imperial green is so dark that in some lights, it does indeed look like black. There are more Lotus Omegas (Omega A = Carlton) than Carltons. So you'll see a lot of LHD versions knocking about. The car is based on the GSi, with the same but heavily reworked Vauxhall straight 6 engine. Now a larger bore and stroke..from 3.0 to 3.6 twin turbo chargers. Produces 228bhp per tonne. Interior was trimmed in very expensive Conolly leather. Gearbox and dif are from a Corvette.

Loved the LCs, always have done, always will do.
  7. Not yet chap. Not had the time. Nearest Nissan Dealership to me is about 15 miles away and only opens half day Saturday. I will do soon as I'm probably going to get the interior trimmed around Easter time.
  8. Don't think they are supposed to have much play. Mine are solid as a rock. Infact the whole thing has a 'newness' feel to it.
  9. Supprised he gets any...he never replies.... ;)
  10. Is there a how2 for replacing the 2 part gearlever boot and bush? Just got my parts super-quick from MJP. :hyper: Have done a search, but can't find it. Thanks. :)
  11. Oooooh!!!!!!!!!! Replica Stillen stuff!! $400 though, it just as well be the genuine stuff! :(
  12. None of that lot. Dunno why, but the 350Z has never appealed to me in the slightest. It has nowhere near the road presence the 300ZX has, it's not as quick and it's nothing like as exotic looking as the Zed. I find it quite dull actually. I want a Honda NSX to replace my Zed. I think it's the only logical step up as far as price restrictions take me. Deffinately one of the best looking cars to come out of Japan. Very reliable as well. Although quite powerful as standard (circa 300bhp), twin turbo coversions are available for them. Upping their power to just over 400bhp. Thats running at moderately low boost of 7PSi. So retaining reliability. So I'm sure 500+bhp is within easy reach.

Lock 'em up in the Xantia with 5lb's of Haribo.
  14. Thing is with yours and Greg's is the fact that they still hold the car's original lines to a good degree. Not OTT spoilers or meshed out bumpers. Doesn't need to look mad to be eye catching IMHO. :duffer:
  15. Agree, if I'm in the Zed, I'll park the other end of a carpark taking up two spaces.... BTW, I take you never saw this. ;)
  16. Bet it looked sweet zooming past everything! One of the nicest looking on the forum IMHO.
  17. What is the difference between the two bearings then?
  18. Sure are some scabby ones popping up now and again.
  19. 'Oh dear oh dear' @ both of those. Lack taste.
  20. Looks nice. Needs some paint on that front bumper, some orange wing indicators and 99spec rear lights. :) Same exhaust as me. Veilside Evolution is one of the nicest sounding and best built exhausts you can get IMHO.
  21. If the car takes ages to sort the revs out, what would be the issue? Is there some kind of idle control valve on zeds? It's not hunting or anything or reving too much. Say I'm driving and I come to a stop, put it into neutral. Revs drop quite low and it feels like the car is going to stall, sometimes it does, but more often than not, it doesn't and give it a few seconds and eventually the revs will rise back to normal idle.
  22. Sorry, I'm in complete retard mode...yours is a SWB. :wack:
  23. Exactly the same as my setup. Take it somewhere else. Easier and less hastle than an appeal.
  24. Never seen one of those centre things before in the boot.
