Removing centre consol.....
I've done lots of work on cars. I shoe horned a V6 engine into my last car (Astra), so it's not like I don't know what I'm doing, but this is by far and away the most pitiful and ridiculous piece of shite I've EVER come across.

Removing centre consol.....
I have got mole grips, but if it's that rounded/seized, they are just going to make it worse.

Removing centre consol.....
It's ok. Just a really pointless excersise from Nissan there. It's a 5 minute job....litterally, without that stupid bolt. Why having it facing upside down????

Removing centre consol.....
I sprayed WD40, it was the first thing I did. The head to the nut is now rounded, no I have very slim fingers. It really is the worst design for anything I think I've come across. More so than metal teapots. Absolute ****ing joke...WHY PUT THE NUT THE OTHER WAY??????

Removing centre consol.....
**** it, I am just going to wrap the central spar in insulation tape and ram it through. I simply can't get to that bolt. I've spent two hours on that, my hands are cut to shreds. I am seriously ****ed off with it now.

Removing centre consol.....
If you were a pixie, then I'm sure you can. I sure as hell can't get to it. Also, because it's underneath, it's corroded, so it's ****ing seized.

Removing centre consol.....

Removing centre consol.....
No, the lever is still in the centre thing. There are two bolts securing it to that, one that you can unbolt from the top and one Nissan decided to put underneath which you can't get ****ing hold of. There are no bushes in the hole, nothing there what so ever.

Removing centre consol.....
I am and I can't get the ****ing bushes in the hole. It's getting dark now and I'm ****ing pissed right off. ****ing shit design, can't even take the lever out as Nissan thought it would be wise to put one bolt facing down. What a load of ****ing *****cks!!!!!!

Removing centre consol.....
Is there a nack to getting those two small brown bushes in the base of the lever????

Removing centre consol.....
Oooh nice. I'll be replacing the rubber inner gaitors too as mine's perished. Can kinda hear tx noises. But it's going to have a load of work done on it next weekend, new main seal, gearbox oil, diff oil, prop shaft bearings and PCV hoses, so it should come back a little less fragile. :) :nelson: @ Graham! ;)

Removing centre consol.....
Cheers gaz, I'll have another butchers at it. I'm replacing the bushes in the lever as my Zed has a serious case of limp knob!

Removing centre consol.....
....the simplist of things. But what am I doing wrong? First time I've taken any of the interior appart. Have taken the small trim tabs off and unscrewed all 4 screws. The top comes out, but the bottom doesn't seem to want to pop off. I don't want to be too brutal with it... ?!IU^%R&^%" :x:

HELP!!! Broken Cambelt!!!
Apparently, although it defies logic, auto boxes (on Zeds) save cars from internal damage like that. I can't understand why, as you'll still have inertia there turning the engine even though the autobox does disengage.

Headlight eyebrows
Nice to see some 'kwality' mods being done to the zed.

Mirrors On Ebay .....
Dude, they are awful. Straight from Max Power. Put them up on ebay and sell them to some lad in a Corsa. :)

Mazda RX7 stud pattern? (series 6)
Incidently, they are similar to my Rays wheels, but are deeper dish and flatter. Will take them apart and get them re-chromed. Should look similar to mine, just with a bit more road presence. This is if I can get hold of them.

Mazda RX7 stud pattern? (series 6)
Do you know the offset? I can't find that on there. What's the Zed's offset?

Mazda RX7 stud pattern? (series 6)
Is it Zed compatible? There's an RX7 which is due to be seized by customs for non payment of duty. Now it's been sat for a year now, but has a gorgeous set of 18" Stila split rims on it. Been talking to a few of the dockers here about having them and paying the small amount of duty on them. Would it work stud pattern size?
