  1. Nice piccies mate. Someone else made some comments about my rear lights as well. I need to tidy up the back end of my car though, really needs some attention. Was a nice day. :D
  2. You will find one for that price, but the chances of it being half decent are 50/50 Some real sheds out there, be very careful what you buy. If you have only got £3k to spend and can't stretch to anymore, then maybe the car isn't for you as maintenance/running costs are and can be very high. If you really want a Z and don't have the funds, then you're better off buying an NA. Not as quick, but more reliable and cheaper to purchase. You'd get a pretty tidy NA for that price and they are pretty bullet proof and far less to go wrong. I paid over £5k for mine and unfortunately I have had to rebuild the engine due to something that had happened way before my purchase.
  3. Anyone got any piccies? Saw a few members snapping away. I only have 3 photos...not sure it's worth me putting them up! LOL
  4. There's deffinately electrical wires going to areas where the washer jets are! :x:
  5. Woohooo!!!!!!!!!!! Thank fook the football's over! Horrah!!!!!!
  6. Very nice, nicest engine bay on the forum IMHO....but notice wires to the bonnet....please don't tell me you have LED washer jets.
  7. Thanks mate. Took a side on shot today too. Not very clear. Not sure what's wrong with my camera at the moment, but it's not taking as crisp a picture as it used to.
  8. LOL, it can rain all it likes. I never drive it in the wet! LOL
  9. I'll try and make the pics a bit bigger as you can't make out too much.
  10. I had it on an axel stand, I'd just jacked it up and taken the wheel off.
  11. Unfortunately my trolly jack is bust. I wrapped a bit of dead towel around the top of the jack before I did jack it up.
  12. Well the weather's been fantastic, so what better way to spend the day than under the car! LOL Pics aren't that great quality. Anyway, I thoroughly cleaned out the arches and the wheels. Dressed the arch liners. I'd previously painted up the non-plastic parts with satin black hammerite to make it all look new. I cleaned up the calipers, attacked them with autosol, redid all the lettering and painted up the non-contact surfaces on the disks. Makes a lovely difference and makes the rims appear brighter. Allso go underneath and cleaned up the petrol tank and polished up the exhaust.
  13. Why does he take the piss out of the Zed? Please tell me he's into barry-mobiles etc. That was quite an amusing read. Reminds me of that scene from Trainspotting.
  14. Are you sure?? It's deffinately looks like a white paint. My calipers have no corrosion on them anyway.
  15. Well, I bit the bullet and decided to go back to the states again. Anyway, there's a reasonable following in the LA area. Although I'm not going to LA itself, I'm staying at Long Beach which is kinda between San Diego and LA. So they've not had a meet for ages, so I've roped some along to have a mini-gathering...which might increase in numbers I guess as I only posted the thread yesterday!. I'll make sure I get some photos up. Will be nice to see how Z owners do it 'Westside'!
  16. That reminds me of this...something Richard said last year after saying that 'Nissan Dealers know nothing'.....
  17. No pics of 'round the back'.... lol ;)
  18. Why did you put it there?????
  19. There are only a very very small handful of Nissans I actually like. The rest of the marque I have little time for. 300ZXs, Skylines and the old Primera 20 eGT are the only cars that I've been interested. Keep your Micras, Sunnys, Almeras, Terranos and all that crap. The Pulsar was interesting but had all the looks of an arse hole.
  20. ....or just buy them from here.... ----> http://www.fancyplates.com
  21. Yeah that's them. My front ones are a little cleaner, but still have the browny residue on them that I need to scrub off with alloy wheel cleaner before attacking them with the autosol....then I'll do the lettering.
  22. Nice...he doesn't want an awful lot for it either.
  23. Yeah the calipers are alloy. Certainly not cast iron ones. Which is strange since mine's a 91....well, lease it looks that way anyway. Iron calipers corrode to a certain extent once the electroplating has cracked off. Mine have no lacquer on them, but the lettering which is almost embossed (raised) with a light pattern on it. It looks a silvery/white, but where the lacquer on that has lifted, it's faided somewhat.
