  5. Hello, I have been waiting for sam from panel and paint to book me in for months now without any luck so I have found a local quote for the bumper respray. The garage said they use Renault paint but could mix the right colour for my TK3 using the Renault water based paint. Does this sound like it would be okay? They are charging 270 inc vat for the respray and blending work which seems alright
  6. that's what we told your dad anyway :D

  9. hello all. So she failed the MOT today, but not for emissions which was my worry due to the decat. The basic test shows 0.7 on the emissions so well below the 3.5 limit. Failed on the following which I need some help/advice with. Reason(s) for failure nearside Rear wheel steering ball joint has excessive play (2.2.B.1i) offside Rear wheel steering ball joint has excessive play (2.2.B.1i) Can someone confirm that these are the culprits? The tester said he "thought" that was where the movement was coming from. How hard is it to replace these myself? Ali said I can swap some on from his car potentially. Will I need a press? nearside front Vehicle structure has excessive corrosion, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings (6.1.B.2) Anyone know of a bodyshop which can repair this section in the next two weeks in the proximity of London? Seems to be where it has been badly jacked in the past so it has started to go bad. Seems to just need a plate though rather than box Advisory notice item(s) nearside front Direction indicator damaged, but still visible from a reasonable distance (1.4.A.2e) nearside Front suspension has slight play in a lower suspension ball joint (2.5.B.1a) offside Front suspension has slight play in a lower suspension ball joint (2.5.B.1a) These aren't too serious. but could this cause the movement I feed when I hit the brakes? Feels like there is a slight forwards/backwards movement when the brakes initially engage. really annoying but I haven'#t been able to pin it down yet. Any help much appreciated! I have 10 workign days to get it fixed and a free retest done... :D

  16. Hello all... Sad news this morning that I need help with - car started on first turn of key but immediately died. On turning key again it turns over without any problem, but doesn't start. This morning I was testing a passive tweeter crossover and last weekend installed the new carpet but it started up last weekend no problem . Where do I go :s it's just sat here for a week and nothing else has changed. No intermittent issues in hebpasy year Fuel pump primes as usual on the first turn of he key you can hear it fire up. Guess I will try and get codes and see if it shows anything

  21. haha so it would be nice if it worked.... replaced battery, still nothing. tried the reset thing in the ignition and still nothing, so really not sure where to go from here. Any advice would be much appreciated.

  23. hello all. So I have a 94 imported zed and have always had this fob sat in a drawer which didn't seem to work... Now I learn it is part of teh factory supplied keyless entry system. Any ideas on how I can test it and get it working?... presuming first step is replace battery as it seems dead as a dodo right now. The instructions says insert and remove teh key 6 times in under 10 seconds to go into settings mode, does this mean literally just inserting and removing the key from ignition?
