  1. Quick read of the rest of the forum will answer all those questions mate. Do some searches. Dave ps key-rings and stickers are a myth, bit like the tooth fairy!
  2. I've got an apexi filter and am looking at getting a twin induction type setup to fit soon as the weather is more reliable. Today I compared the apexi with a Blitz sus and my old HKS mushroom filter and realised how much smaller the apexi is. It looks like the correct bolt fittings for the MAF so don't think I have the wrong one. I can't see how it could flow anywhere near as much air as the blitz or the HKS. Has anyone done any comparisons between them? I was considering just fitting the single filter as I've not got round to buying the y pipe and the second filter yet, but I'm not sure its such a good idea now. Cheers Dave
  3. Sounds like a good reason to enforce the rules to me, Zed site, all pictures of birds should be on the zed (in the cold obviously), etc
  4. Looking great mate, fastest colour too. Dave
  5. I dunno, can do another speed limit on top of that! :wack:
  6. Maybe you shouldn't post that on here ! doesn't that mean you also own the house? lol
  7. Whoops! ' sorry guvnor its a Zed, thought I was going at 55mph, honest guvnor'. Unlucky mate, I'm sure there are many people on here who could have been in the same position. I used to always travel at night, its easy and enjoyable to 'test' the car a bit when there's no traffic about. Hope it isn't too bad but reckon you'll be very lucky if you get away from that without a ban. Dave
  8. Have a good trip bud. Keep down your bonce, jonce!
  9. hmmm! looks bloody lovely mate, glad you're getting the engine sorted. Those phots are going into my 'Nice Zed pics' folder. Dave
  10. Mines been a daily drive all winter, driving lots of miles before christmas. I was doing 400 miles trips at least once a week for a while, now I'm doing 50mile round trips often in heavy traffic, although I usually drive early or late to avoid the rush hour. Apart from blowing a MAF in heavy rain its been rock solid.

Where the f*ck is 'Somewhere looking good' Jase? :hyper: :hyper: :nana2:
  12. There's no advantage in boost jets over an electronic boost controller. They are a cheap way of achieving the same thing. You definately shouldn't have them without a good boost gauge, and don't even think about adjusting them without the gauge. My opinions are very set on the matter because my first zed had them and a dodgy stock boost gauge and trashed the engine a few months after buying it. Do yourself a favour and at least get a good boost gauge, or preferably an electronic controller. Dave ps I've got a brand new greddy boost gauge for sale!! but thats not why I said what I did!
  13. Mine come off every day its sunny, all year. Its bloody freezing without heater matrix anyhow so might as well get the roof off. Dave
  14. I didn't have a clue about performance cars and my mate bought one. I couldn't believe you could buy a 'ferrari' for 5k! so went out looking at lots till I found a good one. Bought it, blew the engine a few months later due to dodgy boost gauge and not knowing how to be careful of bleed jets! re-built the engine in a stable over the winter (froze me tits off) with no engine knowledge, a workshop manual on laptop, and asking lots of questions. Bottom end went 3mths later (probably because I didn't replace the shells, novice ). Considered getting another new engine and finally discovered this site. My current Zed came up for sale and within 30mins of the advert coming on site I was on a 450mile trip to have a look and buy it. Test drove it hard, and bought it there and then. Top decision, only thing thats gone wrong is a blown MAF from the HKS mushroom filter that was on it. Upgraded to r34 brakes after fading the oem ones at a trackday. Spent a fortune on tyres and petrol!
  15. its the same size as yours!! :hyper:
  16. Well recommend the above mate, but also in the short term maybe you should bleed your brakes and renew the fluid? I never managed to make my brakes fade that bad on the roads, and I always used to do 'autobahn' speeds! (learnt my lesson now after getting many points). The only time that I've got really bad fade was on the track, hence upgrading to skyline ones. Dave
  17. Wow, imagine that....VRROOOMM!!
  18. OOh thats my beach mate! I swam from Hayle to St Ives last summer, probably already bored you with that story though. So many memorable days there. I used to run the dunes with my dads dogs every day or two.. Our house is very bare without any dogs and cats and parrots and .........list goes on and on; got a horse outside though. I'm hoping to come back to the coast once I get work that I can do from home more often.
  19. J, I'm in Southborough just up the road. Havn't noticed you about in the last few months. Maybe meet up sometime and talk Zeds? Dave
  20. Can't believe you took your dog to the beach in your Zed Jon! I love dogs to bits and always take them out, but NEVER in the zed. Smells for ages and you get salty sand everywhere. Bad zedder you!! Dave ps - which beach and what was the surf like, I miss it so much. :-(
  21. sexy Mofo that Zed of yours mickey! nice
  22. Don't know for sure but if your windows is up to date it wont run .exe files from within an email for security. May not even run the attachment even if you tried. I had some problems the other day trying to get a program running that someone had sent me in an email. Very annoying but protects against things like this I suppose. Have you got up to date virus programs and firewall?
