  1. Wow! Thats some serious addiction! :)
  2. I like the convertable, I'd like to have one for cruising about :)
  3. Back pain? its not possible to diagnose properly as far as I know so you can just fake it and get a doctors note :)
  4. How about 'Damn I got my stilletos muddy' ? Please tell me she wasn't 'driving' in them. Repost by the way :)
  5. Nice buy Jack! it is the one I thought it was :) Looks a really nice car. We'll have to get out for some 'spirited' driving soon. I prefer the S13 to the S14 myself. I love the S15 though :) Can't wait until they come down in price a little, can't see it happening soon though because the Japs still love them.
  6. Love it! I reckon the next time I buy a car it may be something like that. Makes so much sense if you are buying a car for trackdays and similar things. Much more practical running costs, and faster round the corners than anything else.
  7. I think she thinks you're a pest! Tell her you are , that might make her laugh.
  8. Congrats to the hamster :) Good on you mate and glad you get to keep the Zed. Are those fords rear wheel drive bunny?
  9. I bought a BMW 525i tourer for a practical but nippy run about when I sold the Zed to rodders. It had 205k on the clock (they are meant to do 300k easily) so I knew I'd be taking a chance but it had full history so thought it was worth a go, and with any luck would last the winter and be able to tow a trailor or horse box. Lo and behold after a week (did a a couple hundred miles probably) the thing overheated. I caught it quite quick but was worried the head gasket was gone still. I already knew that BMW fitted a plastic water pump in some of these which often dies after only 40k. I didn't bother checking as I figured it had done 205k alright so must be a metal one. I pulled out the waterpump and it was a plastic one in many peices! I fitted a metal one today and a new thermostat as well and touch wood but apart from a few threatening moments which I think were just done to it being a bugger to bleed, it seems to be ok. I gave it a bit of a ragging and it didn't overheat, so I'm a happy chappy, esp as it doesn't seem to be the head gasket. I bought the car to tow the rex to track days so I don't put tonnes of miles on it.
  10. Can you remember that wrote off ferrari on ebay last year? I think Ferrari bought it themselves in the end because they didn't want their image tainted.
  11. Oh christ mate! bloody incompetant fools. Hopefully they'll sort it. Sorry to hear about all the bad luck. Dave
  12. Thats feckin awesome Si! My missus didn't a similar thing with the first car she DIDNT pay less than £100 for lol, except not on purpose. My helicopter dunker drills were bang on, out the window in about 3 secs. Still give her sh*t for it now
  13. One of the guys on the rotary forum is from South Africa. Its standard practice out there that the handler gets first refusal on keeping the dog. Maybe we don't know the full facts but its not the point IMO. Both me and the missus have dealt with dogs since we were very small, including many German Shephard problem dogs that were on 'last chance' due to biting previous rescuers. There's very very few out there that can't be recovered with a lot of patience, love and understanding. We trained the dog to be the way it is now, the handler should be given the chance to re-introduce it into normal society.
  14. Lol, brilliant! my computer went into 'safety boost' when I looked at it though :(
  15. Awesome Jase lol! we're getting some runner ducks as soon as we've got space for them (will build a circuit in the garden haha)
  16. Just been reading a few posts on the rx7 forum about TOTB. Sounds like the surface wasn't the best for it? lots of sideways action on the dragstrip??!The dragon Rx7 (the one above) did a 9.6 1/4 at Santa Pod the other day. I take it there's only a limited distance for the cars to set top speed? like at brunters? Have you got the other results Kirbz? It'll be great to see your car at these events Kirbz, its about time the 300 was put on the map, and Macs (come on mate!). Boomins new Zed has to be capable of a some impressive things as well. It just needs the owners to be decent drivers to post some good scores.
  17. No but we live with two ring neck doves! They make a lot more noise than you'd expect, they poo everywhere and they throw seeds into the keyboard on my laptop so the keys don't work. Love them though :) The bottom picture shows them trying to mate (the 'mating' pair we bought were both boys, this was just after he'd landed in my bowl of tomato soup by the way. They are a warm up for the macaw thats arriving end of September. Well you did ask.
  18. I was sticking some air in my tyres at a garage last night and a couple of young lads pulled up in an old Honda Civic. They asked me if I take the rex to any 'cruises'! they then asked me about Bluewater (they called it Japshow?) and if I'd be going again. I said I wasn't sure as there were a bit too many chav boys there driving like idiots and attracting police attention. I then asked the second lad if he was into his cars as well and he said he had a 300bhp vw golf also with NOS on top (i said yes right on). Turned out he'd recently crashed it and wrote it off. He was at Bluewater and the brand new Toyota Celice in front of him accelerated to leave. He went after it (obviously trying to keep up) and crashed right into the back of it !!!!
  19. Sorry to hear about it mate, but as said its not that bad compared to what it could be with a Zed (or any car for that matter). It may be a hassle but its a very cheap one compared to some.
  20. I stuck it on the rotary forums as well so lots of people emailing :) Its fair enough it could be a danger if it wasn't with its handler due to the way they are trained, but the handler and his family all want it back ffs!
  21. Wozzers going to blow up his car, Wozzers going to blow up his car,Wozzers going to blow up his car,Wozzers going to blow up his car,!!!!!!!!!!11heheehehehehehehe :)
  22. Theres lots of different models of 911, they completely confuse me (think porshe don't know either :) ) Depends what one, but for instance the 911 turbo (996) has 420bhp and 413lb torque and weighs 1500kg:bow: the others are similar. Got those stats out of the back of EVO magazine :)
