  1. :D giggle!
  2. Maybe we should do it at the weekend 29th, 30th June?? I was thinking a weekday to avoid traffic but it is right out of the way so shouldn't be a problem. Whats the best day for everyone? It'd be good to make a good size meet out of it.
  3. Thats sounds promising Ray. Need to find a place to stop that has a bit of space in the car park.
  4. Top thread mate. Looks like a great drive.
  5. Erm correction mate! this month lol! looking at prob a weekday 25th to 29th possibly? although week before is a possibility, what ever is best for everyone. I've got those two weeks off and heading down to Cornwall.

  7. If the gauge is hap-hazard then a boost leak is certainly a possibility.
  8. Look for leaks mate, badly fitting pipes. I had the exact same thing on my Rex a few weeks back when I my intake hose was not on properly. (I may have this wrong) I was getting negative boost as the engine was sucking air in, but upon acceleration it was getting to air pressure (0psi) and then not going higher as it was equalising due to the badly fitting hose. I've had some of my piping modded and everything is as it should be now, full boost etc. The Zed has a lot of pipes so there are lots of potential leak points. The 2 big intake ones get worn and split, also the other two (turbo to intercooler, part metal part hose) may not be sitting well. One turbo should boost above zero, the balance bar would spread it across both sides.
  9. Hi Shelton, would be good to see you. I was going to say Sunday evening but the other half is playing in her band at a festival in Bodmin and I'm on Roadie duty (at least I'm shaggin a band member :-))
  10. Fair one, can't see it being that powerful if there are piston/ring problems. I only mentioned it because I had the same issue with my first one. Its such a bugger that doing the turbos on a zed are so much hassle. I really like your Zed, one of my favourite ones. Let me have it if you want :smw: :D
  11. Have you done a compression check mate? just to confirm it is the turbos.
  12. Happy birthday you old rocker!
  13. I heard those girls are filthy.......... :nelson: Oh, I voted Venice. I really like Paris but I havn't been to Venice and I think for a woman its got the romantic factor before you even get there.
  14. Nice one Jon, can you post in the other thread so people know there's interest? Who else is around do you think? It sounded like Zogg was in Helston so maybe he's up for it? Shelton?
  15. Ok, thats better for me as well because I'd deffo be there all week. Anyone got any preferential days? I just want to get the road as quiet as possible as there arn't many safe overtaking spots on the St Ives to Lands End part. Its a stunning area so we could just stop and take in the view at any point; there are loads of car parks on all the vantage points. I've edited the initial post, added in a route back via Penzance as the road is a bit faster and less demanding but still a great drive through the twisties.
  16. Ok mate. Looking at sometime between the 16th and 30th of this month depending on when I can get down and who's around.
  17. I sent him a mail asking for a registration cert as it doesn't look like a 1995 model. I like the quote: 'it need a tuning'! What exactly can you tune on it?! I'd say that translates as 'runs like a dog and requires extensive money to put right'?
  18. 1st July after the Dyno day !! The drive from St Ives to Lands End got put into a 'worlds best roads' feature on MSN recently : http://cars.uk.msn.com/guides/article.aspx?cp-documentid=5091363 I'm on leave for the second two weeks of June and will be heading down to see family. Is there anyone down there who fancies meeting up? We could meet in St Ives or Hayle and drive the road? Perhaps end in Sennen at the cafe on the beach if its open (big car park). Looking at Saturday the 30th June so that more people can get down. EDIT - I thought a good route would be to go St Ives - Lands End/Sennen - Penzance. The St Ives to Lands end bit gets narrow and twisty but is very beautiful. The road back to Penzance is a bit faster and not quite so demanding, but still challenging and twisty. Best time seems to be the last week in June 24th to 30th, a quiet evening preferably. The only problem I can forsee is getting stuck behind a granny on the St Ives to Lands End part as there arn't many safe overtaking parts. Its a stunning area though so if this happens we could just pull over in one of the many car parks, enjoy the view and have a flask of tea :D
  19. People seem to have confirmed they are going and there's no date haha. I'm on leave from the weekend of the 15th for two weeks so will be down that way. I'm not certain what day I'm going down but is anyone up for meeting up? It would be fun to get to a day at Portreath RWYB (hopefully I wont blow another gearbox, just having a second hand one put in today). Failing that maybe a mini meet and drive. The drive from St Ives to Lands End got put into a 'worlds best roads' feature on MSN recently: http://cars.uk.msn.com/guides/article.aspx?cp-documentid=5091363 How about we meet up in St Ives or Hayle and do that road? A weekday evening would be best so we can get it with hardly any traffic, as the tourist hoards are around now. I'll stick it on another thread as well.
  20. Yep, I don't want to confirm until I know I can be there. I'm not sure what day I'll be going by at the moment. I've got various things I need to do before I can plan.
  21. One day I'll be able to say the same thing :-) I'm trying not to grow up at the moment (half succeding: My body is feeling old but my mental age is still young! now where's my skateboard gone?)
  22. As long as its better than that god-awful 430 thing that lexus brought out!
  23. Yeah that as well. You want to try an Rx7 for emissions!!
  24. We used to live down the road from them. I've got a lot of time for Charles, one of the few public people that isn't afraid to have a backbone and say what he believes. The organic food range he's involved with (Duchy...?) is great. Shame his ginger biscuits are so bloody expensive as they taste lovely!!
  25. Reworx (rx7 tuners in portsmouth) do this by post for about £20. I'm sure they would be happy to do any injectors.
