I've been meaning to go there since it was built. From the pictures I've seen its amazing. You can go ice skating at the moment too, if your missus is into that.
  2. Probably not the best time for me to make smart comments on that....
  3. oops - ditto Vini!

25 mpg on long motorway drives. More like 15-20 round town.
  6. Lol, well I learnt something Jeff!
  7. Have a go mate! I rebuilt my old engine with zero experience and it started first time. It isn't that hard. It's just a b!tch of an engine to cut your teeth on because there's so much squashed into a small place. Make sure you've got a good tool set (use the money saved from not taking it to a garage as an excuse to stock up) good socket sets, spanners and all that jazz. There's lots of enthusiastic people here to help if you have problems. Dave
  8. pmsl, thats about right mate!
  9. FFS, funny crashing a car. Get a life or go back to your hole. Dave
  10. Make sure you've got all your stuff backed up mate. It's only windows throwing its teddies. It would probably benefit from a fresh install anyhow. Dave

Yeah it is, although I didn't join the forces till I was late 23 so I've been a civvy before. It's still quite odd though, I don't think it'll really sink in until I'm in the new job and settled in a new house in Kent. Everything is great so far though, I'm enjoying it. Dave
  13. I just had to do the same for my MOT. Assumed I only needed fronts but after looking the rears were gone to. Same as you on the front and more pirellis on the rear. They are good tyres but I wanted to give some others a go but the place only had those ones in my size. Dave

  15. enviromentally friendly 340 rear wheel bhp twin turbo 3.1 guzzler!
  16. Check out these emissions results. No oil being burnt there! Dave
  17. AAh!! Found a switch that operates the fog light! Many thanks to Neil for the chat, pointed us in the right direction. Nearly ready now for the MOT! God its cold tonight. Dave
  18. Hi all, I've got a little problem. The car is being MOT'd tomorrow and I'm trying to suss the wiring of the rear foglight out on the Zed. It seems to have been wired in with the side lights and not with the main beam, what should be the fog lights don't work. Its a strange set up . I need to know what has actually been done to it to make sure its not just me being stupid, and I've lost TonyC's number (the original owner) does anyone have it? Thanks Daved
  19. I've just used some of the existing bits mate. I didn't need all the clips so had some left over. I also removed the small length of metal brake tubing between the caliper and the brake hose as the steel hose had bango clips that screwed straight into the caliper. I also removed another small triangle metal bracket on the back of the hubs that I guess would be a line locator as well. The original hoses have three line locator bits with clips where as the steel ones only have two. You can see them in the second phot, the brackety bits on the steel line. It all seems fine, neat and doesn't seem to be going anywhere. If it sounds a bit muddled I can circle them in the phots later.
  20. I noticed he wasn't thrashing the hell out of the Enzo like all the others!
  21. Enjoy John. Need to try and pop in and say hello before I disappear to Kent. Hope you've had a good christmas. Where are you for new year?
  22. Had to vote for the KA as its the shi**est one there. The s2000 is a bit of a muscle car compared to the others. I've got a new view on the mx5 after my mate bought one. Excuse me for saying it but it was so much more fun to drive than a Zed. You can chuck it all over the place round every blo*dy roundabout! Its still a hairdressers car and he's still a girl though! I can hardly fit in the blinking thing. I'd never buy one just because of that, I like a bigger car with more muscle, plus I love the Zed full stop. The mx5 never got the adrenalin running which the Zed does every time I use it, it was just fun. Audi TT are too common and a bit gay and boring.
  23. Red ones go faster so they probably stop faster too! I didn't really realise how much it would cost overall when I did the calipers. I thought I could use the second hand discs and pads (I did use them until the pads wore out but they were warped). Its cost just shy of £1500 in all but I've got all four corners done which I think is more balanced than just getting big brakes on the front. Saying that though, the rears are the same diameter (hence the skyline ones are a straight fit over the handbrake mechanism) but they are thicker so will cool better I guess.
  24. I forget the actual size 35mm I think. I'll look tomorrow. Its the R34 skyline ones that smithy sells. I upgraded the calipers in August and have been using the second hand skyline pads and discs (slightly warped) to get my moneys worth until now.
