Hiya. The bolt that slides along the runner that goes through the window is making my window rattle like mad when half way down, I have dissembled the door card and seatbelt harness but can only see one 10mm bolt which holds only the runner in place, is there anyway this bolt can be tightened some how? It's probably just wear due to age.

This is most probably in the wrong place but I may as well ask around, seeing as my car's gearbox seems to be working well, and ive spent loads on the engine , I want to spend some money on tidying her up a bit as I seem to have spent loads on the mechanical side if things, I need a decent set of black leather front seats, no rips no wear, a good stereo set up including speakers as mine are crap. I would also like some metal intercooler pipes rather than the blue ripspeed ones I currently have, and anything else that anyone can think of to make her look smart, ive spent so much recently I intend to keep her. let me know what u guys have and prices and i'll get back to you :)

yeah went the long way round though didn't I lol. there is a slight oil leak though which the mechanic is going to check Monday hopefully nothing serious. also when I booted it up the road the interior filled with a little smoke......... hoping that's just oil which the mechanic said some did spill during fitting..

Thanks Jeff, its now changing gear I just didn't notice the change, does seem to change at high rpm though... I will post your Gearbox ECU to you Tuesday, and i'll post Groovers ECU back as well, thank you both for your help its been a nightmare few months! glad to have her back for the summer! ;)

Ok, so have the box ready and a ramp lined up. few things I'd like to know if anyone would be willing to give advice. Is there a guide on here which shows removal and re-fitting , cant seem to find one Is there any extra bits I would need? like gaskets? obviously ATF III which I have already. The filling part, im going to assume theres still some oil in it as when I moved it some came out of the end. so what is the best way to drain and re-fill the torque convertor? is there a filler hole for just the torque ? and the total amount of oil is 7.7 litres ? Thanks for all your help ive had recently with my problems with the box, never would have got anywhere if it wasn't for you!

Ive already bought another gearbox now . But would be nice to know that maybe mine might be ok I checked the oil from cold and from normal operating temperature and th level is just on the top of the alloy marker... Which means that is ok? I was informed on here that 3.5 liters was just the amount u put in when you drain the sump but the rest is in the torque convertor. Please dont tell me ive been putting 3.5 liters in the box just from draining? ? Maybe that is my problem? ? Just purchased a gearbox off kieran on here so I need to know what I need , like gaskets? Or anything else. Hi mate I dont really like to disturb him as ive called a few times this month. Its got to be coincidence that the box has done this . But im still thinking it could be a connection as last time the sump was removed I recall checking a connection which when pushed in it clicked into place slightly. Or it could be where I unplugged a few connections under the bonnet to check for corrosion maybe I didn't plug one back in properly but I'll spend a few hours tomrow re checking everything. Grrrr this is so annoying its driving me mad. Hopefully kiemister I think will be able to work out a price for courier of the box he has for sale. I think lee dent has it..... Ok so checked the resistance on pinout 44 which is the neutral switch on the ECU, getting 8.4 volts from reverse and drive But no voltage on neutral or park? Is this normal? Plus I also purchased a new battery. I'm starting to think that this is coincidence! So looking for a gearbox. i all Need help with this. Managed to get into the cars gearbox ecu and everything electrical is functioning correctly. However according to the main ecu my timing is 15 degrees before top dead centre. And its not picking a load signal. Is any of this related to my gearbox issue? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

Thanks Groover, that diagram seems to be missing a section, what im trying to do is a resistance check across ground and each of the pins which are pinouts 5 - lockup solenoid , 8 override solenoid , 6 shift A 7, Shift B , 1 line pressure solenoid 2 drop resistor solenoid. On the component locator which you kindly sent me on the left hand side of the diagram 5th one down A/T control unit A-C 20 is what I need . the diagram only goes as far as11 is there another page mate?
