Hi ... I have after market gauges (temperature) and was wondering if it is possible to use one of the sensors on the front coolant pipe? Obviously this will render my stock temp gauge not working. Which one do I use? If this is ok to do. Coolant or water temp? I would have to block off the hole with a bolt of some kind. Or would it be advisable to leave them in situ and buy a new sensor for my after market alloy adapter which goes in between the left hand rubber rad pipe.

It was the box type thing (ptu) or cas? to the left of the cam cover I removed the plugs and gave them a clean and pushed them in firmly. Then she started up. Must have worked itself loose when I had the new oil pump fitted.

Hi .. car has been running fine apart from steering gone slightly heavy. Problem I have is yesterday all I done was put back the rear view mirror and started the car and the battery light was on dim. Car had a new alternator about 6 months ago and its showing 14 on multimeter. Pulled some codes and it came up with 34 det / knock sensor circuit . Pullled up to a friends turned the car off and the car wouldnt start just turned over . Checked the fuse box under the bonnet and made sure all relays were in firmly went back to the car And it started?? Now I'm getting code 21 which is ignition signal circuit??? Battery light is still dim while driving about. Does anyone have any ideas? Plus can I use this for all my electrical connections to prevent corrosion? Thanks in advance

Does anyone know if there is a power steering fuse? Looked under bonnet at the two fuse holders and cant see one.. Problem I'm having is that the steering has gone stiff. It's does work kind of but very stiff. I have drained as much fluid as i can but couldn't get to the rear hicas unit as I haven't got a ramp and mine is very low. I have refilled with ATF 3 and there is no air blockage but the steering is still stiff. Also the belt was removed for the oil pump 're fit and the mechanic assures me the belts are tight And tensioned correctly.

Hi does anyone know how to set these up? Manual online is very brief. Got the boost working fine. It's the oil pressure I can't seem to get going properly. I've recently had my oil pump changed and by doing so it has sorted the annoying whinning sound and fixed the random tapet noises. I have disconnected the Oem sender and fitted the aftermarket one and wired it up correctly to the control box. But my readings are erratic. From cold the cars oil pressure starts about 2-3 as it warms the creeps up to bout 4 then once at Normal operation temperature the pressure rises above 5 and 6 when driven and drops when idle And sometimes drops to zero. Then while driving again sometimes the reading goes up to 10. I'll be very grateful if anyone can shed any light on this as I've spent hours trying to work out if its normal or wrong!! I can post a video if it would help

Hi .. installed a 3 pod pillar trim this afternoon with water temp (not yet connected) boost and oil pressure. Both of these are connected but I am not sure if they are working as they should be . Can't seem to find a detailed manual online for the Blitz dc2 gauges . Oil pressure goes up when reved or driven . Also there is a red led light on ? Boost gauge only goes up when I put my foot down and no red light until it gets about half way up gauge. Obviously I have installed the oil sender and connected the boost tubing to the correct place. Does anyone know how to set these up? Or are they ok as they are? Thanks in advance.

My zeds power steering has been quite heavy the last week. Fluid is ok and tyres are inflated correctly. I don't think I have a Speedo convertor on mine so don't think it's that. Any other suggestions ?

Yeah Santa it is! And i could have done with a wetsuit this morning!! Few days back I siliconed the join where the Targa sits on the rubbers just to see if it is where the Targa meets the rest of car obviously leaving the drain holes and now the water is slightly coming through but now coming through the center light!!

Hi peeps Seen some leather seats and interior on gumtree and I've made the offer what the persons asking and it seems to have gone?? There was a car also advertised with these seats in and another advert with just the leather seats and interior of that car. I was wondering if it's a member on here ?? I've reviewed Jeff's post and all my drainage hoses are connected... The water is definitely coming from both sides where the targa meets the body ....

Hiya everyone Thought I had cured this but seeing as the last few days has been pissing down heavily i still have leaks! Seems mainly to be coming from where the Targa roofs meet the body of the car. I have checked the drainage holes and pipes and all are clean and connected as they should be. I have also changed the nylon runners in both Windows and the Windows close firmly against the rubbers. I'm getting water behind the drivers seat in the footwell and it's also dripping down the drivers pillar where the Targa meets the body of the car. Another leak is also on the passenger Targa where it meets the body. Looking at each end of the targa there seems to be some kind of adhesive felt? Do these wear? And could this be where the water is getting in? If so where can I buy this stuff? EBay possibly? Or do i need new rubbers? If so does anyone have any good ones for sale on here. Thanks in advance

Hi. Yes I read that somewhere as well. Oil pan is perfect though. It's driving me nuts. All belts off and noise is still there!!!

Lol No seriously it will remove the sticky shit that's left behind . As Mark said hot air gun or hairdrier to remove the film and if theres any sticky stuff left lighter fluid will work mate, its similar to petrol. when I had my RX8 some vandals sprayed my whole car in carpet glue... I used almost a gallon of petrol to get rid of it.... it worked and it never harmed the paintwork.

Lighter fluid that will remove most sticky residue.. I've used it on my rear quarters to remove exactly the same crap!

At some points I too have zero oil pressure and it's exactly the same sound as the chap in YouTube

Ok had this problem for a little while now it just appeared one day. and this video on YouTube is exactly the same as mine and the noise goes after the car has reached normal operating temperature. Even with an oil change and a good filter it seems to make no difference. The noise is always there and always the same length of time. In this YouTube link it says possible oil pump of feed blockage. Seeing as my oil pressure gauge is very erratic maybe this is the problem YouTube link Photos of oil pressure gauge I have replaced the sender with a new one as well morning Normal operating temperature So is it worth buying a new pump? Do these often go wrong? Or could it be a blockage?
