  1. Classic Line, I'm 300 with all mods declared and 9k agreed valuation. All with no hassle, I gave up with a few other companies as it was hassle from start to finish.
  2. Ahh will do, didn't know switching the ignition off and on cleared codes, that's a new one!
  3. No codes at all mate.
  4. If it did, what would that prove in diagnosis? The car has been running a bar since I got it.
  5. There was hardly any fuel in it over winter, I always park it up with little left. Had a full fresh tank of fuel before I boosted.
  6. Had a we play about with the boost there, it usually sits at 14, I've dialed it back to 12 though, the boost is pretty much always rocks solid, never seen it over-boost that I can remember...took it a wee blast, was boosting fine at 12, came to a slow section and when I got to a faster section of road again, back to safety boost, argh lol.
  7. That's one thing it isn't. Did a boost leak test over the winter, and fixed about 4 leaks lol, boost is nice and stable now. It's something I'd always wanted to do, but never had a compressor until the winter, got one as an xmas pressie.
  8. Just brought the car back out from storage. Just before I put it away in October, a couple times the car went into safety boost, there was no symptoms, car seems to be running fine, no error codes. I brought it out to plat at the weekend, did about 60 miles, car all good, no issues.. Yesterday, did about 20 miles on way to a gig, into safety boost again, a simple switch off and on again and the car boosts once more. One thew way back home, same thing. Hooked up to Datascan again this morning, still no error codes. As the fault is intermittent without a clear symptom other than safety boost, where do I start checking first? Cheers lads.
  9. If you order anything from outside the EU, the you will get charged VAT once it arrives here, unless it is under something like $25. I would suggets asking the sender to put a low value on the item, then it won't incur customs charges. I picked up turbos many years ago, I got the sender to put on faulty turbos for rebuild with a low value, saved a fortune.
  10. A few pics of my first Zed, still miss it!
  11. Cheers lads. Had a nice day, even managed to finish correcting the Zeds paintwork, I think it had a better day than me lol.
  12. I've found it cheaper to buy parts from Z1 and CZP in the USA, over buying from the Z Centre, way too expensive.
  13. I've been using Mobil 1 5w/40 fully synthetic sicne I got this Zed 4 years ago, I change it once a year with the filter, sometimes I've only done 1,000 miles, sometimes 2000, but not usually very much. I don't think it's that dear, £30 once a year compared to everything else I spend on the Zed is pennies. Oil pressure looks to be the same as it was with semi synth 10w/40, I used to use that in my first Zed, the only difference was under hard driving it used oil, switched to fully synthetic on the first Zed and it stopped so that's why I've used fully synthetic since I got my second Zed. I reckon I will go for Jeffs advice and try a 10w/40 semi synth this time, just to see if there is any differences.
  14. That's had a few quid spent on it. I'd be interested in it's mechanical condition though with the "service history unavailable" note at the bottom. Service history is crucial for a Zed.
  15. Check the voltage of the battery with a multimeter.
  16. You two still at it! Sort it out like men instead of bickering on here like a couple of little girls. Doesn't look good people reading this kind of crap.
  17. My car is an early 93, didn't have AIVS. Someone else has deleted the PRVR thing. EGR and Carbon canister still there. Here is the two pictures again with the little pipes circled that have nothing attached to them, anything that has a blue hose is fully attached at both ends as there are a load of little pipes in the same area but they are all ok. These two pipes circled have nothing on them.
  18. When the car is driving it boosts and has vacuum, it just seems a bit laggy. When trying to do this test no boost. There is also a gauge on the compressor which shows 0 as well.
  19. It's an electric compressor I use in the garage for inflating tyres and other stuff, not hugely powerful. I suspect it isn't strong enough, though if there was no leaks I can't see how it wouldn't still increase pressure? - - - Updated - - - There connectors in the picture do not have anything attached to them at present?
  20. Spent about 4 hours today, tightened loads of clips, the amount of hoses with clips is mind boggling on these cars, some easy to do, some very awkward. Still got 0 when trying to do the leak test though. What are these? It's the only thing I have found that is open, they sit just under the front of the throttle body at both sides of the plenum. It's the small pipes right in the centre of the photos.
  21. The car is off the road for winter, so I'm doing some stuff I've always ment to do, but never found the time. Well time and no were to work, but after building a nice garage this year I now have room to work and play in the dry. I had the battery out to get room to work on something else, but whilst there I noticed the passenger side turbo hose top clip was very loose, took 10 turns to tighten! The car has always boosted and seemed ok, hence why I've never bothered to check for leaks, but now is the time after seeing this. I have a boost leak tester, removed the MAF, installed tester, attached a small compressor I have, after a few minutes still 0 pressure....I'm thinking wither large boost leak which I cannot hear due to compressor noise, or I'm doing something wrong? Any suggestions guys?
  22. Today I checked and tightened the clips on 5 of the fuel hoses in the engine bay as they were rather loose. With the engine running it was like a fountain of fuel under the bonnet! The hose under the fuel regulator and also the little hose at the front of the block were a pain, as the clips were facing the wrong way, got them with a bit of fiddling.
  23. It's cheaper to buy these from Concept Z than it is from Z Centre, I just some idle connectors and other bits from CZP and with 15$ shipping they worked out much cheaper than the Z Centre, they are very expensive.
  24. I got a shot in a brand spanking M6 around a month ago, quick car though feels very heavy on the road, head up display was weird as well but I'm sure you would get used to it, tyre noise was horrendous though, tyres are louder than the engine lol.
  25. He posted it at around 2am, I've posted loads up stuff on forums in the wee hours, then couldn't even remember why when I sobered up lol. Keep on Zedding Ted.
