  1. Did you adjust the tps and get the idle value into the correct range as mentioned by Jef?
  2. Fair enough lads, but I've been using it alongside whatever gearbox oil for years in different cars and it works, I've changed the oil without it, ran the box, then changed it again with molyslip and it's just a smoother gear change every single time. Works for me :)
  3. Redline Mt-90 and a tube of molyslip always works wonders.
  4. Everyone relax, you could probably have a laugh with a room full of people giving out the same kind of banter comments, in the cold harsh world of the internet though comments always appear worse than intended, I hope! Jeff has a shitload of experience, don't know the guy, spoke once or twice years ago, but he does have a wealth of knowledge, saying its pcv valves well I'd say that is a good shout, certainly easy enough to check, if these are then checked and found to be ok, then i'm sure Jeff and others will have other ideas, but you always start in the easy places. Come on lads, cuddle up :)
  5. If he's pressurised the system and removes the oil cap it will give a hiss of air?
  6. Sad, it's why this club started to fall down a little, doesn't matter how busy you are we all have busy lives at times. But having had parts most of the year they could easily have been sent back and the person contacted out of courtesy. Hope you get something sorted bud.
  7. Can't replace health, you can replace cars. Stay healthy bud.
  8. I'm detailing a Jag this week in a similar condition :)
  9. Still looking a bit dull/ orange peely, be cracking when they have finished it off.
  10. Take the hoses off at the pump, if you press the washer button and of nothing comes out its a pump fault.
  11. I had Meister R on my Skyline. Good kit but a fairly stiff setup, even on the softer settings.
  12. Do you have specific part numbers?
  13. Cheers for that mate, gumtree/ebay bound :)
  14. Cheers mate couldn't figure out what was going wrong with the pics!
  15. Well just clearing out my garage and found a few bits. These connectors I purchased and completely forgot about, does anyone know what they are for? Also found the toolkit that I think I got with one of my 300zxs, can anyone confirm? https://ibb.co/n0BTMV https://ibb.co/hQGZvq https://ibb.co/hQGZvq Ok never mind seems I can't add pics.
  16. And the stuff that was repaired at the start is rusting again so not great repairs, though no surprise as most bodywork guys don't do it for the long term benefit of the car.
  17. Good decision bud, no point doing something with no end result and if you are no longer enjoying it.
  18. I would return them, no decent place will sell you a tyre older than 2 years. Rubber vulcanises with age, no matter the storage conditions, so it hardens and handling/braking will be worse. When buying tyres I always try and get the newest possible.
  19. Putting it under a cover is not always a good idea if it's outside, moisture just gets trap underneath. As long as the car is cleaned fully then waxed/coated with some protection the paintwork will be fine, same with rubber/plastic trims coat and protect.
  20. Set 54% Gain 5% Set Gain 75 (Set to PSi rather than bar. With these settings the car ran at exactly 14psi with no spikes. It will vary greatly from car to car though depending on how it's been installed, boost leaks however small, wastegates, turbos etc.
  21. No matter what you do, the criminal element will always find a way round it.
  22. I personally don't know anybody involved so can only comment on what I see. The buyer, after reading that auction ad has been very naive, anyone who has done any car research would tell you that ad is a terrible indictment and the car sounds a riot. The trader if he has any integrity and also any clue would never bring a car over in that condition unless you name is Delboy as that kind of car will only bring trouble. Hope you get it sorted mate, it's going to cost thousands.
  23. The preload amount is marked on the spring though not sure if you will still see it if they are old. Defo don't want to mess with that, I did on my Skyline and it was an interesting experience driving it till I sorted it lol.
