What did you do to your zed today?
 They look much better fitted than they did just sat on my workbench! :thumbup1:

HIDs - the downside!
Perhaps you should explain the difference between the readily-available H3 bulbs and the less-common H3C ones...?
-
HIDs - the downside!
They should just be H3 HID bulbs, mate. Can't see a reason why they'd be anything different :)

HIDs - the downside!
I have no excuse. :crying: That's me told!

What did you do to your zed today?
As Andrew G has said, worst case scenario would be stud failure. Like I suffered when I brought the Shortie home when I bought her!

HIDs - the downside!
I have done, don't worry :)

HIDs - the downside!
So, after all the increased visibility and better aesthetics associated with HIDs, I've finally discovered a drawback to them: When one of your bulbs blows, you can't just go to Halfords and buy another one! Well.... you can... but they want £60 for a single bulb!! eBay it is then!

Who is old enough to remember...
I don't really remember this, but I do remember using using nothing but a polythene bag (instead of a sledge) when it snowed... scary and bruising stuff, but sooooo much fun!!

Is this for real
And I paid £12 delivered for my pair last year!

LakeZ feedback
My only genuine complaint is that there were other people in the room when Toyah was performing for me! Can we ensure that doesn't happen next year please?!

Values
I've only been on "the Zed scene" for a couple of years or so now, but even I've noticed a marked increase in both asking prices and the price that cars are actually selling for. When I bought my old 2+2 TT auto 2 years ago, I paid less than £2k and it had failed to reach it's reserve on eBay prior to that. It was a clean, unmolested example and looked very nice indeed. At that point, there were plenty on eBay for sale. Fast-forward 2 years and there's noticeably fewer on there, especially "original" ones, and they're selling for considerably more than that. Josh's latest toy was just short of £4k and I'd say that is of comparable quality to my old one. Prices are definitely on the up and, as less Zeds are on the road (or even available to be on the road), I reckon they'll just keep climbing. :)

Make my zed look better
You're being too much of a purist for The Bird, mate! I told him it should come off and I was told, in no uncertain terms, that it's staying.... :sneaky2:

Looking for a new Zed ?????
Is it not a sequential shifter...?

99 spec mats on ebay
Another good point there. :thumbup1: I think my cynicism may be on to something....

99 spec mats on ebay
Call me cynical if you will, but it seems odd that one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world wouldn't put any kind of heel pad on the driver's mat... especially when every other iteration of the Z32 mats have (to the best of my knowledge) been fitted with a heel pad... Can anyone actually confirm that they're genuine 99 Spec mats? They have an aftermarket look about them, in my opinion...

LakeZ 2015 Names List
Me and Fran are definitely coming across on Saturday - hoping to arrive around 9.30 ish. Just point me in the direction of Toyah and I'll be just fine...!!

inner wing paint colour
I believe (but I stand to be corrected here) that the engine bay will be the same colour as the body, but unlacquered...

"You picked a fine time to leave me, Loose Wheel!" - Mondo's new Zed.
Just to add to this, here's an example as to why I didn't go for grey or black leather on the seats: Don't get me wrong, they do look nice (and yes, I'm aware they're not the exact colour scheme that Si mentioned!) but they just wouldn't work in my car. Just a little bit too much going on for my own personal taste. :thumbup1:

Some photos of trentham
That yellow Esprit is simply gorgeous!! :tt1: And does anyone else find it a little ironic that neither of Ceejay's cars use the bonnet struts he sells...? :detective: Shame I missed this... looks like it was a really good day, guys.

Twin filter intake kit
Having upgraded to a Selin intake, I no longer need this twin filter intake setup. I bought it last year and it's probably done no more than 1500 miles. Never a problem or issue whilst it was fitted to either the Shortie or the 2+2 before it. The mushroom filters have some rust on the mesh, as can be seen in the pictures. Complete with bolts and gasket, ready to bolt straight onto your MAF :) £20 delivered.

"You picked a fine time to leave me, Loose Wheel!" - Mondo's new Zed.
We've had a nice little run out this afternoon to see the in-laws for Father's Day and I can confirm that the Selin does make a difference! Pick-up is noticably quicker and more immediate - I'm genuinely surprised by the difference it's made! The car's much more responsive to drive now :) An expensive modification? Yes. Worth it...? Hell yes!!

"You picked a fine time to leave me, Loose Wheel!" - Mondo's new Zed.
I must confess, I didn't know it had any LEDs for monitoring - might have to whip the nose panel off and have a look! Good to know it's the updated version though :thumbup1:

"You picked a fine time to leave me, Loose Wheel!" - Mondo's new Zed.
It's easy for me to stop getting presents for my Zed when people and companies want actual physical money for them! The only things I'm planning on now is to have the Hicas arms and joints replaced as one of them was an advisory on the last MOT, retrim the steering wheel at some point, and to get this spare set of brake calipers rebuilt. I honestly had no intentions of going dual MAF or anything like that until Josh posted it for sale without any delivery or import charges. Just couldn't pass it up! Woe betide me if a set of 555 injectors appear at a nice price though... :w00t:
