  1. Love the phone- Been wondering wether to get this or Iphone except it did not have voice act phone book search like previous HTC phones or Iphone- essential to me as in car a lot and need it hands free. Did this come through on recent software update- important as getting new phone this week. Reggards Dave
  2. If you get stuck- just PM me and I'll find you a pair of used ones- just postage on condition you keep car together and don't break! Regards Dave
  3. Alliance & Leicester charge £32 now and your'e lucky if you get a letter...and then its a week later! However, I don't want the banks to use this as an excuse to end free personal banking and certainly not start charging at ATM's. To clarify, tonight they say (the banks) that they may start charging £2.50 per transaction @ ATMs. B Cheek when they have spent years pushing for salaries/benefits/pensions etc to be paid straight into accounts and often thats the only way of getting YOUR money!
  4. Obviously completly agree- my freind who is also a bodyshop specialist says it occurs when some primers are used an left too long before subsequent painting as they absorb and hold moisture- keeping dry after stripping and during repaint is paramount as you said. So many projects sit for months in primer, especially where repairs and kits are fitted over a period, in conditions of moist air and cause problems when painted as the owners feel the preparation has been done by themselves, and don't want to pay more than they can.
  5. Fair enough Gary... just my personal feelings as a Mclaren fan (I am passionately British trough & through) coming through- don't like the bloke and don't particularly rate him. Lucky- yes...when he cocks up qualifying he does seem to be lucky in the race as others crash, or retire...and thats important. If he has a car that has something no one else has at the beginning of the season quite rightly he leads...different story when the playing field levels! He needs a car that is clearly superior to everything else, and is not good at getting the best out of anything else as we have seen for 10 years- blames everything and everybody else for a poor performance. Good move for him as the Mclaren car is reckoned to rate next year so again he'll have a chance- mind you Fisi (good driver) couldn't get the same results as Kimi so won't be a walk in the park. I would have preferred a young hungry talented driver like Rosberg, and my feelings were obviously shared by Mercedes. If Kimi hadn't earnt more by staying out of F1 for 2010, we could have seen Button with no where to go...if its so well deserved why was no one keen? Maybe Macca settled for someone to get the car home and just earn points toward a constructors cup which Kovalinan failed to do. Kamui Kobayashi for third driver at least- a proper racer with loads of talent- one to watch! :D
  6. Mercedes released him and told him to look for employment elsewhere....just a shame we had to end up with him..
  7. They seem to be like rabbits round here- didn't know they had got so rare! The one who regularly visits my garden is a right pain- droppings all over, digs up half the garden for worms, and smashes his way through any obstacles including the fence! My mate advises peeing (apparently establishing my territory!) and I've emptied myself many times across his trails through the fence and hedge but I reckon it actually likes the stuff....or he's having me on and is busy snapping away as I do the business! Anyone got any other ways of 'putting him off'? Gratefully received...or I'll create a minefield and we'll have a barbeque!
  8. Button's probably a bit desperate by now as clearly Mercedes don't want him (and they know him best) and the rest are certainly not lining up to take him on despite his bargain basement World Champion price. Great move for him- time to think up a whole new bunch of excuses and a whole new team to blame when things are not quite right for him! :xxx: Why couldn't Macca just get Kimi or Rosberg?
  9. God Forbid....please NO! :(
  10. Played it and loved it! ...particularly liked the covers of 'Tie a Yellow Ribbon round the Old Oak Tree', 'Uptown Girl' and 'D I V O R C E'! Regards Dave
  11. Got my signed copy today Leigh- looks great! :duffer: Don't know wether to actually play it as that may damage the collectable value in years to come?? Regards Dave
  12. Just confirming one of the first 100 "special" editions please Leigh. Want me to send over money now? Regards Dave
  13. Thanks.... just you wait :slap: ...it creeps up on us all! Still mentally feel 19.. the age I got my first 240Z... and crashed it! Dave :D
  14. Sorry- more explicit; 6000 miles Not classic policy SDP, use by the policyholder in person in connection with business. Full No Claims (protected on this policy) Parked on driveway value: £4500 Auto/ TT I'm a young 53! Other motors but with other insurers. Dave :D
  15. My 1989 SWB import has always been a b.... to insure as far as the insurance companies were concerned...two heads, spawn of satan and not a UK car 1990 on, so not on their dropdowns so doesn't exist! And Adrian Flux was as bad! Two years ago I went through Endsleigh and got Norwich Union Fully Comp with £400 excesses @ £262.30 after a lot of aggro and talking to their new business manager directly. Last year they wanted to double it but settled @ £290 after argument. So, imagine my surprise when the renewal came through this morning @ £179.00 with £100 excesses... no brainer, accepted straightaway! Hope that gives someone hope! :hyper: Dave
  16. Another Dave with a SWB here...lokking for a new exhaust- does the NI system sound like a Mongoose? (I had been trying to work out how to cut down a Mongoose LWB exhaust I have!) Dave

Can't believe you passed on FireMAN's manual Z @ a bargain price just down the road from you- that sort of thing is rare- how cheap do you want it? If your serious, you have to get on and go for it!
  18. I can see how the air con would work when above ground testing, but how well will it work when in hot tunnels? Dave
  19. Can you make a standard 99 spec panel light up?
  20. Use Chrome bulbs- they light amber.
  21. Hi Leigh Still want a signed copy + pic- I'm on the list on page one of this thread- did you want me to confrm again? PM your payment details and I'll send over. Regards Dave
  22. A failing MAF will give same symptoms. Regards Dave
  23. I can't honestly see why they had to say it! As they are not supposed to be racing under the safety car, if Trulli overtakes Hamilton did the right thing in not fighting him for it. If they believed and told Hamilton to let him past, the stwards would still have penalised Trulli- absolutely no reason to lie- b stupid- why do they make things hard for themselves? :headvswal Dave
  24. I'm urgently trying to contact Steve, but can't get an answer from the mobile I have or from pm's/email. Does anyone see Steve and could ask him to get in touch with me, or have an up to date tel no they can pass on- or know of a personal reason that Steve is unavailable? :( Very Grateful for any help. Regards Dave
