  1. Sorted my renewal so back in the fold- tho had to search for link in a post. Perhaps the Support your Club banner link on the Home page might help? Thanks for your help Dave
  2. Still cant mesage you or any committee 'no permission'. Wanted to ask what a Premium Member is etc.
  3. Thanks Guys- and thankyou Jaikai. so, I paid the sub this year?- lost track.
  4. I havnt been on here for a while for a few age- related reasons, but still have the Zs. Ive happily paid subs since I joined in 2002 (member 243), but find I am now dormant. Im not sure of my membership status (dormant apparently), but happy to continue to support the club. It appears that there was still an email address registered that is redundant so I didnt get recent reminders- I have changed it now to my current one. My telephone number is the same tho, so a text may be a good idea if no email response? I had been trying to message Gaz to sort, but it keeps telling me my inbox is full and I cant message unless I clear some- Ive cleared over a 100, but I still get the same message! Can Gaz message me please so I can get a link to sort membership? Cheers Dave

  6. View Advert RARE STROSEK- STYLE 300ZX LWB WIDE BODY KIT Description STROSEK- STYLE LWB WIDE BODY KIT I bought this kit some years ago from Jeff TT, removed it from the car it was fitted to, and have carefully dry- stored if ever since. One of the best looking wide- body kits, the Strosek- style kit mirrors the flowing lines of the 300ZX design in my opinion. A 300ZX owner recently persuaded me to get it out of storage with a view to buying it, but his circumstances have changed. I loved the look, the well known ‘Zelda’ instantly comes to mind, and intended to fit it to one of mine- but I’ve come to the realisation that I have too many projects to get to this one. The fibre glass kit includes the 1. Full Wide Body Rear Bumper including no. plate lights, 2. both rear wheel arch/ Quarters including the complete Aero 400 Alloy Locking Fuel Filler Cap, 3. plus both nearside/ offside side skirts to complete the look. Condition is excellent, having been dry- stored in bubble wrap. They had been fitted to a car, and when I removed them, I cut away the metal of the car to protect the fibreglass- the surplus metal can easily be cut away by the body shop when fitting the kit in the future. Bumper: the openings for the Exhaust outlets have been slightly cut away to fit an exhaust, but can be easily adapted by the Body Shop to fit the exhaust of choice. There is a tiny bit of damage where the rear quarters meet the side skirts (see photos), but again this would be easily taken care of in the process of attaching and blending the kit to the car. The kit is white, but of course can be any colour when it is blended to the body work, and car resprayed. Possibly a good option for anyone suffering from rust problems over the rear arches/ sills- I’ve included a couple of pictures of finished cars to give an idea of the look. They include the Strosek- style front bumper (not included), but of course any preference front bumper could be used. The kit would have to be collected as it is quite bulky, or local delivery conforming to current restrictions- but I am sure we could work something out. These are obviously rare, and can be very costly: kits seem to range from £1500-£2000 and up to £4500, but I am only looking for £350 to free up some space- rare oppourtunity for a 300ZX enthusiast. Happy to answer any questions- PM or email Dave Advertiser Dave Date 03/06/21 Price £350.00 Category Parts - For Sale
  7. I have a block with crank etc, Been on engine stand for last few years but I will not rebuild now. Low mileage, known engine. May be exactly what you want. Give me a PM and we can have a chat! Dave
  8. So grateful Andrew, I'll give it a go! (relieved i'm not the first!) Dave
  9. Dont shout @ me if I've misased something! Trying to get through toi DTA Motorsport as they supplied my Conzult software many years ago but although a website, no working tel nos? Are they still going? Dave
  10. Good to see youre still around- I bought your engine from your 300ZX after your accident. Was a lovely car. Dave
  11. Starting to lose my rag now- trying to install my copy of Conzult on Win10 upgrade. Worked fine on Win7 on another PC. Now despairing as apparently installs, but when I try to open, comes up with Exception EReadError in module conzult.exe at 0001A4C7. Error reading comportset.ComProperty: Registry error (win error code:2). I know we have some serious techies on here- which I am not- and hope you can advise! What have I done wrong? Anyone else have a problem? Is there an update for Conzult?- as OBD etc seem to say it works OK with Win10. Hate Win10 now- wouldnt have moved from Win7 if they hadnt forced me! Dave ??
  12. Thanks guys Appreciated Dave
  13. Maybe it is just the abs block, and the valves within it as pressure leaks past worn o rings. Enough of them floating around if it needs changing. I have a low mileage one if you decide it is that part. Not changed it myself, but plenty like Jeff who could advise.- I assume change a bleed- bound to be in manual.
  14. Since it is when you are moving, I suppose you have ruled out worn/dry suspension bushes/ suspension strut etc as its next to a turret?
  15. EITHER: A project for someone who likes a challenge and a bespoke car at the end of it- or spares. NB: Has been stored inside until now. I am down- sizing my z’s slightly and this one, bought originally as a possible restoration or spares, has unfortunately to go. I am not greedy, and looking for a sensible BEST OFFER. I can deliver for fuel cost. 1990 JAP IMPORT 300ZX Twin Turbo LWB To start, some history of the car. I bought it a few years ago from a club member who had suffered a suspected head gasket failure. The car had a lot of aftermarket upgrades and short of money he decided to break the car. He had sold the upgrades off in the main, but I did a deal as the car was too good to scrap, and I needed a spare engine at the time and thought (still do) that this one was a perfect one to repair and do up as only 75,000 miles. It has Strosek rear lights fitted as you can see, but luckily the metal- work is still there so it could be restored to stock lights if you preferred. It also has side skirts and aftermarket rear end/ bumper fitted. Yes, Japanese import with 118,000km, approx. 75,000 miles on the clocks (Clocks still in kM) - amazing when I see most z’s well into the 100,000 plus now, even imports. Apart from a couple of scabs and some relatively minor bodywork, detailed below, the shell is in relatively good condition. Both sub frames really need dropping off, sandblasting and repainting simply because Nissan never painted these well and so Japanese cars often come into UK and these areas start surface rust- luckily on heavy metal. I have listed what is there, and roughly what missing below. With an interior etc., engine overhaul, coil overs, radiator etc. some repair and cosmetic bodywork, this could make a lovely Z with the nice addition of an original Titanium key! Includes; Bodyshell: With good wings, bonnet, rear aftermarket bumper, aftermarket Side skirts, Targa’s (one has scab), Tailgate (with scab)- original spoiler in usual poor condition but tailgate looks sound, aftermarket Strosek rear lights, good doors with glass, door mounted belts, window motors, folding mirrors, looms, catches etc. Main shell looks relatively good but needs relatively minor work rear offside where the lights were added, tidying up at the front and obviously a good look at the sills area where the side skirts were fitted. Interior: Has Dash (small hole in centre where something has been mounted but repairable.), Speedo, Rev Counter etc. and gauges in situ. Heater, fan etc. all in situ. Steering wheel and column with steering lock and ignition (TITANIUM KEY), Door locks etc., Air Con & lights pods, all ECUs except main auto engine control ECU, Auto transmission controls, Handbrake, braking/ anti-skid ecu’s, loom in situ. No interior trim or seats except tailgate trims, one damaged. Engine Compartment: Engine with ancillaries (Cam covers, Coil packs missing). All servos, Starter Motor, Air Con ump, Alternator, power steering etc. in place. Exhaust downpipes in place. Engine cooler in place but main rad missing. Intercooler and intercooler pipework missing. Auto transmission, Diff, sub frames with brakes (Original Spec Discs & Calipers, handbrake) etc. all in place. Original pattern alloy wheels. Jap spec offsets. Windscreen scuttles in place but battery side damaged. Windscreen wiper motors and linkage (front and rear), windscreen washers etc. Headlights/ front bumper/ indicators missing- wiring in place. Bonnet catches etc. are still in place. Overall: Top front of engine compartment has some surface rust but sound and easily done with general bodywork. Engine looks worse because no cam covers but this is just the waterpump/ cam belt tensioners etc. which would be replaced anyway. Rest is a good clean up and the surface corrosion on the aluminium manifold could be easily polished, refinished or even powdercoated in the general rebuild. I hope that covers everything, but happy to answer anything I can. I have put up pictures which should give a good idea to start but I can send loads more with detail of inside etc. with an email address. Happy to show to Non- timewasters. Can deliver for fuel cost. Dave
  16. I have decided I need to clear some of my spares that I am not going to get round to using, but absolutely have no idea what to ask for this- a reasonable price, not exorbidant. I have a TT engine block from an engine that got water in through the intercoolers, was stripped but never fully repaired. It is complete with Crank etc, Camshafts etc but not Pistons or Con rods. See photos. It seems to be in perfect condition and has only been stored on an engine stand, inside a workshop, for several years. I should think it would be a perfect candidate for a rebuild, especially upgrading. Can any of you learned Zedders give me an idea of what I should ask? Many many thanks! I should have a set of good TT pistons I bought some years ago off a member on here that I will be selling too- any idea what they might be worth? Thanks again in anticipation Dave
  17. Hi Stephen I came across your thread today and was fascinated with your story and wondered what the final result was. I live in Swanage, South Dorset, not far from you and increasingly as I read, bells rang. I bought a 300ZXTT in about 2003 from a gentleman in Bournemouth who had hydrauliced the engine in standing water at the Bakers Arms, and got taken for a ride trying to get it repaired. He put it into a 'garage' in Three Legged Cross that apparently specialised in these cars to take the heads off, investigate damage and repair. His nightmare began then and after months of prevarication he eventually took his car back finding that essentially they had down nothing of the original work, and instead used the transmission, rad, Turbos, etc etc as spares for other cars etc. He was quite well off and the car had lacked for nothing before this and was immaculate, BBS alloys, Leather, 35,000 genuine miles etc. By this time he had taken up a post abroad and was so devastated he wanted rid of the car. I bought the car for £1000, with the block in the back and a couple of boxes with some of it- heads etc. Initially I went down the road of purchasing pistons etc, but never got round to rebuilding it, and ironically I have just decided to sell the block today! I have a feeling that this is the same garage- a unit on a little 'industrial estate' off the Three Legged/ Ferndown road, owner was called Steve I think- as I went there myself to scare up some of the missing parts for the car they owed. Instead, over the years I have bought several full TT Engine packs off members on here- I can't resist 300zx spares!- and actually now have four complete low mileage complete engines on pallets (not a trader- for me), and this was the option for the ZX I've mentioned. I hope it worked out for you, and if I had noticed your post at the time, I would have loved to have had the opportunity to pay a visit to them again with you, to emphasise the point. Happy to share a pint at any time Dave

  24. Good point Jeff I have debated about whether to bring this one back onto the road, just dislike these lights. Otherwise body virtually perfect 1990 Jap 2+2 70000 miles. Hate all these 300s being broken and this would make a good one. Already put new tailgate on with low level spoiler. Dave
  25. Thanks Alic Apparently its a Skyline one. Dave
