  1. A dance performed mainly by the scottish
  2. I think the chassis is ok, it now drives with a slight pull but this is prob due to suspension and steering (i hope).I think it just needs strapped down as when they tried to straighten it the car was lifting instead as the damage seems to be pushed down and not in. Have got all parts for repair except drivers indicator
  3. Yes, i agree it would be a shame. Its just all the hassle of moving it around bodyshops etc and actually finding a garage up here that can be bothered doing none insurance work. Have got a veilside c2 kit in garage anyway. Paul. New Maldon, i know it well.
  4. I was recently unfortunate enough to pull out of a junction in front of a vauxhall omega  It was totally my fault and although the omega was a write off the only thing that i damaged was bumper, drivers headlight and drivers intercooler as the car seemed only to be pushed down by the impact. It still runs etc but when it went to the bodyshop to be put on the dozer for straightening it couldnt be held down enough and have now been told it will prob have to be jigged  I dont think there is any actual chassis damage but the nose cone is twisted and about 10 to 15mm out. My dilemma is do i fix it or do i buy new one and strip mine to sell parts  Paul.
  5. I also recommend Toad like Bob, but as a rule i fit Sigma simply for its size and the fact that all programming and diagnostics are done on a handheld programmer. Paul.
  6. I would go for a clifford matrix rs2 as a reliable budget autostart alarm Paul.
  7. Have you had a look at the SIGMA stuff Bob? the new S series is tiny (not much bigger than a fag packet and cat1!) ideal for fitting to cars with not much room. The siren is very small Li Ion backup unit Paul
  8. I agree totally Bob
  9. I can sort one out for you mate, think there round about £30+ del. are you def sure the problem is the keyfob and not the alarm? Paul.
  10. to recode remotes *17856*91*(enter amount of remotes to be recoded ie 1,2,3,4)# this will be followed by a long bleep. then press first remote key(followed by bleep) press next remote key(followed by bleep again) repeat until all remotes have been programmed.when last has been programmed the led will flash the amount of remotes that are coded
  11. Im a SIGMA engineer, Have you got the keypad fitted? has the alarm went completely dead or is it just ignoring the remote? Paul. If its disarmed you could try *17856*92*1234*1234# thisshould change pin to 1234 but only if alarm is disarmed
  12. I would say thats a fair description Bob paul
  13. Yes, i subby for them. Based in warrington and have been around for quite a long time.Owned by a bloke called Chris Williams Paul.
  14. 10k i think should do it Paul
  15. SIGMA S30 CAT 1 (made by TOAD) , ultra reliable, upto date design with a tiny but loud Li ion battery back up siren and they have to be set up by a hand held programmer after install (similar to cliffords). BMW and SUBARU used to use sigma as there factory fits Paul.
  16. I fit Cliffords and have no problem with them. Also would reccommend SIGMA (part of Toad Group). The S30 has will do everything you want except turbo timer Paul.
  17. Cut them one at a time and it will be no problem Paul.
  18. It had probably been fitted by someone else at an earlier time as ALL Z's need an additional Motor in the drivers door (just a normal one that pro engineers will use and fit on a daily basis). Compared to some cars fitting a motor in the z door is easy. paul.
  19. I agree, and i would as any other good engineer fitted the cdl motor in the drivers door at time of install. It should not have caused any problems for a competent engineer. Paul.
  20. NO!!!! Use a multimeter or a power probe, You can get either for round £20 and wont cause any possible damage to car
  21. test for lives in the fusebox when you use your autostart or take directly from main ignition live on barrel harness (which will prob be the cleanest feed) Paul.
  22. Hi col, basically what the engineer has done is hijack the cars original wiring harness to feed the extra motor rather than running extra wires into the door (the longer but correct way to do it. you will prob find that the wires have also been cut in the drivers kick trim aswel and joined to the Clifford alarm. Paul.
  23. No problem Colin, i have also emailed you a full vehicle specific data sheet for the Z which lists ALL the connection points needrd to install an alarm or immobiliser. Paul.
